Ok now you need to provide specifics........on the sloth and cuban!

I"m contemplating a R&J Churchill Short and a dram of 16 Year Old Pulteney to cap off a great weekend complete with 2 Leaf wins.

Colt wine tips and some cans of Laker.

Just kidding.

You know I'd respect some posters more if they didn't cower like a female dog when the narrative of a single game didn't go their way

I'll say it again: we need D ahead of a forward. Yeah 3C, but our forward group is still strong and has depth... but Benoit and Timmins man, that's gonna cost us a game/series if that's a thing.

Oh maximum ice was horrific! There sure were some bad beers back then......

Laker wasn't the worst by any means - Steelback was horrific and was part of the D'Angelo brands.

Frank D'Angelo who owns that brand may be a name Leaf fans say "Why do I know that name"??? The answer is he tried to get out of a deal with a former Leaf great (Mike Zigomanus) who was supposed to be paid 50K per year for 4 years for being a sponsor to the super popular "Cheetah" Energy Drink (yes the one Ben Johnson was a spokesperson for).

Zigomanus sent pics of his junk to his GF who apparently posted them on line on some US based website for jilted lovers. lol

Lakeport Honey Brown. I knew a guy who would smack down a 24 of those out in his yard in an afternoon. Just appalling. Bad luck just seeing something like that. Guys that are just pure beer alcoholics are (frank)ing savage.

Barry Sherman.

Owning a sled is the ultimate feeling of freedom. All the adrenaline you could ever want at the tip of your thumb.

They’re also expensive.

Duuuuude

I was thinking I hate to say it, but if Frank (lol) had a dramatic final life chapter it'd be a movie.

But it's actually the Sherman's that is the movie, with Frank in it. That's gotta be in development somewhere. If I was a producer I would option whichever journalist's book that best covers that story. Whether they solve the murders or not. It's a (frank)ing Oliver Stone or Scorsese script.

Yeah, they’re easy to damage. The sled probably needed to be repaired.

It’s only money, indeed. One fascinating aspect of Sherman’s life involves his financial support for, and close friendship with, an unusual Canadian personality by the name of Frank D’Angelo. Sherman and D’Angelo met in the early 2000s and over the years partnered in a variety of businesses and ventures, including a beer company, a late-night talk show, an attempted purchase of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and more recently a slew of B-list movies written and directed by, and starring, D’Angelo. The showbiz ventures were amusing but would bring serious Hollywood actors such as Al Pacino into the haughty and potty-mouthed D’Angelo’s lens and interview chair. The financier of all, and the executive producer of one of the more eye-catching films, Sicilian Vampire, was none other than Barry Sherman. The title was most likely an ode to D’Angelo’s Italian roots, and Sherman found the bloodthirsty spin on the mob quite interesting, emails before his death would later show.

In a 2016 profile of D’Angelo, Sherman was quoted as saying, “I like helping people and Frank deserves to succeed.” This despite D’Angelo costing the billionaire over C$120 million in a dramatic 2007 bankruptcy proceeding almost ten years before the interview. Bloomberg has recently reported that the amount of loans gifted to D’Angelo by the end of Sherman’s life totaled some C$268 million, including interest. The relationship would be questioned by nearly everyone in Sherman’s inner circle, but over the years many close to the billionaire resigned themselves to the strength of the pair’s undeniable bond. For however different the men were, they both shared a similar degree of extremity. Perhaps D’Angelo offered Sherman a kind of exit ramp, and time away from the deep and focused study of patent law and chemistry he so regularly consumed himself with. Sherman’s friends corroborate press reports of his interest in human nature. He was, one friend told me, “psychologically smart,” not merely scientifically gifted. D’Angelo, who refers to Sherman as a brother, perhaps exemplified many of the aspects of human nature that Sherman found most fascinating.

Pike are spawning late April. Usually still ice on the lake. So for the next month or so they sit in warm water to boost their metabolism.

It really doesn’t matter what you use. They’ll hit whatever, they’re pike.

Big flashy spoons tho. Anything that gets their attention.

He wants to be one so bad. He had a restaurant on King West that went belly up. We ate there one time with another couple because we were coming from something (maybe something at the Bell Lightbox? I don’t recall) and it was the only place we could get in right away.

The food was terrible, the decor was so tacky, it’s like they had watched a bunch of mafia movies and tried to replicate any restaurant that was in any of them and the. Had random pictures of “mafia types” (mostly fictional) on the walks except for the one that was signed.

It’s was D’Angelo. Lmao.
