I really hope Briere does not make the same mistake Fletcher made with over valuing his players. he can ask for whatever he wants but at the end of the day he has to take what he can get. It’s about the future of the team not what the team is now.

Let me ask you this. What do you think Laughton is worth? A 2nd?
Whats he worth next season? If the Flyers can get a 2nd next season why wouldnt they push for a higher return now. Worst case they move hime next season for the same price they could have done earlier. Best case they get a better return.

There is no reason to rush a deal. I still believe Laughton will be moved before the deadline.

- xShoot4WarAmpsx

He is worth what a GM is willing to pay. As someone mentioned prior should have been moved long ago when his value was likely at its peak.

No idea what he will be worth next season as that is impossible to say. Of course, Flyers fans will defend him not being moved if that is what ends up happening.

I recall the GM saying he will need to be overwhelmed to move such an important player from the team. Would love to know when an average player like him all of a sudden became Lindros or the like. Never seen a plyer such as him take on such mythical status.

Trade deadline week is upon us. It would be an awful look if Briere moves no roster players for a team with about a 5% chance to make the playoffs (moving Eric Johnson does not count).

The Kolosov situation has been a ridiculous favor. He has played a total of 22 games this season so. Last 2 years in Russia, 42 and 47 games played. I always thought actually playing in real games was important to development.

Spot on in regards to the Kolosov situation, if Briere does not make substantial moves this week I am out on him. This team is going no where with their current roster, even Torts admitted that this past week, and picking 10th does nothing to make it better

It's called posturing.

What do you want him to say? "Ok, we're ready to move Laughton for the first decent offer. We spoke to Scott and told him we have no place for him here going forward and we're jettisoning him the first chance we get".

That'll gain Briere a lot of leverage with trade talks and really endear him with the present and future players.

That’s false. Name another organization that operates using a triumvirate.

There is posturing and there is speaking the truth.

Imagine posturing when it comes to a player of Laughtons ilk.

This has nothing to do with Torts, he is not part of the triumphant

Yes. To me sounds like he's traded or Trolling
- xShoot4WarAmpsx

I don’t really get it. I’m not Christian. What’s he saying with this? That he’s sacrificing himself for the good of the team? Is this kind of parody offensive to Christian’s? I’m guessing that’s not his intention and he didn’t put that much thought into it. Just a bunch of dumb jocks joking around. Who’s in the photo with him?

You mean Briere should tell interested teams that Laughton is only worth a mid second in his estimation?

Or do you think saying you'll need to be overwhelmed to move Scott would keep teams from kicking the tires on a deal?

I dont think it would be a bad look to move no one. I mean outside of Laughton and Risto there really isnt anyone worth moving. I understand its possible both dont get moved. Ristolainen more than Laughton. Its one thing if they have UFAs but they dont. That being said, it seems pretty likely Laughton will be traded.

As for Kolosov, I agree. This isnt a good look and I have no idea what they are doing or what their plan is with him. ECHL goalies are playing ahead of him. Just loan the kid back to Russia or trade him at this point

“The last supper”….jesus shared a final meal before meeting his demise…..I think it’s Laught’s Telling the world he expects to be traded.

Why would he look it as such a bad thing? I know he’s been here a long time and likes his teammates and team, but it seems over dramatic to me and not really the kind of message you want to send to your new team.

Its a bad thing for him because teams players are usually really close. Its like leaving your workplace. Ppl get pretty close with their coworkers and that moment you leave is sad

Perhaps he is saying he is soon going to be-trayded for Radko Judas?

It’s just a simple take on da Vinci’s “Last Supper”, hinting or trolling that he was celebrating his last meal with his Flyers teammates and friends.

Doesn’t look so simple. That took some time to stage. I’m a photographer. It’s hard enough to get two people to look where you want at the same time for a photo. It’s a real pain with a big group like this.

Anaheim has 1 less point than the Flyers, but also has 2 games in hand. Flyers could fall to 27th in the league tonight.

Need to do what’s best for the team not the player in this instance.

- Striiker

Classic Flyers -- "we're going to give you a NMC even though your agent did not negotiate one". Flyers going above and beyond acting as both the player's employer and agent!
