He had a stretch of pretty good games, hence why the fans were chanting JT Miller, on several occasions. The other problem child barely ever got his name chanted and has gotten even worse since Miller has left.
This team is a mess.

Agreed regarding trading Quinn. Built the team properly for once |

If we got
Mercer Nemec Yegorov and 2 1sts from NJ would you send Quinn there or do they just wait to sign him for free |

Looks like Miller is happy to be out of the poop show in Vancouver.
"JT Miller has 7 goals with the Rangers in 11 games.
He had 9 in 40 games with the #Canucks, 2 of them were empty net goals. This is incredible." - Pacificgem
Just a thought and pure speculation. Is it possible that the room has turned on management? It would explain a lot of what's going on. |

Interesting.
If they have, what do you see as the main issue? |

They traded the wrong guy, there was a lot of speculation that there were a lot of players pissed Miller was traded over EP. Who knows but I think we are seeing what Petey is...a spoiled, entitled little POS

🙏 the majority of the organization (not just players), can’t stand Pouty |

He has not been a solid top 6 winger. Not even close. He hasn’t belonged on the ice since JT left - CanuckDon
I assume GMs will trade based on his resume and skill set, not on his last 10 or whatever it is games |

Their vision for the team. They've messed around a lot with the chemistry of the room. Starting with di cking Bo around. |

You are giving them too much credit. I personally wouldn’t trade an Elias Peterson rookie card for Brock. That’s how awful he has been this year |

I think Ian Cole was a huge loss for them. Someone should have quashed the Pouty vs Problem Child before it escalated to dismantling the team.

You also wouldn't have traded a used condom for Seth Jones and he still fetched a 1st and prospect, so I'm not sure I'll use you as a judge of values |

I also think some of the stuff they let the press get ahold of added some undue stress to the room. I mean fans are starting to turn on them, it's just as likely that the players are fed up as well. |

I said that months ago. His veteran leadership has been missed, but also wouldn't hesitate to step up and put teammates in their place. Dhali reported they offered him a one year deal that was well below market value and he went to Utah. |

I agree, Ian is missed, but I think they made another huge mistake by dumping the problem child child and not the arrogant, entitled little weiner as well.
They badly overestimated the quality of Pouty, who has been packed by Bo and Miller. Just my opinion. |

Some discussions online about it today with Chris Pronger. I don't know what the specifics were, but Miller wanted out.

Ya @FriedgeHNIC touched on that with us on the @CamandStrick podcast that came out today. He mentioned that it was in Miller's best interest to move on. His mental health was becoming an issue for him.

If we went full rebuild and he said he will not re-sign with us in a rebuild mode, this would be a decent option. I think some teams would beat it though. That said, NJD would make the trade in a heartbeat. 2 more years at 7.8 for Hughes, they also are not guaranteed to have cap for Hughes when all is said and done. |

This management group, led by Rutherford, have struggled with evaluations and wanting to overpay some, examples Pouty, Hoglander and Mikheyev, while cheating out on quality depth players.
Also, Rutherford gave a 1st and 2nd round pick to acquire Ryan Reaves, just a bit of an overpay.
I didn't like the hiring of this group, nothing has changed my opinion of this group. Heck, I may even prefer Benning over this crew of twits. Okay, maybe they aren't yet Benning terrible, but they are very close. |

Aquilini will never submit to a full rebuild, there will be no green bananas in returns for players. The Canucks spent seven of eight years under Benning at the bottom of the league, Aquilini will die trying to stay competitive. |

He had enough of the idiot coach and management not addressing the Pouty situation and continual coddling of a 25 year old man. Can't blame him for that. |

It’s an NHL wide problem. The old boys in the nhl just keep making the same mistakes over and over without consequences. And even when there is “new blood” brought in it’s usually just ex players that have been “trained” by the old guard. There is a fundamental problem with the way Pro sports works. But they make money and keep the same “hockey people” making tons of money so it won’t change. |

I read something about us being in on Alex Tuch. Anyone heard this?
Maybe Pouty for Cozens, Tuch and something else? |

A link was posted about that yesterday. Not sure if Pouty would get that kind of return, maybe if it was a year or so ago. |
