That stat is more of a baseball stat. It doesn't have much relevance in Hockey at all. Of coarse he gives up more chances against. Look at where he starts most of the time. You need to watch the games more and spreadsheets less.

I guess if you want to say something like whether player get more quality chances when a particular player is on the ice is "useless". But that's Driftwood IQ logic at best, simply objectively not true.

Things like bias and loss within the qualitative and quantitative data collection for your algorithms. What is high danger to you? Because it's different for everyone. Who sets the standards for the baseline?

I'd rather watch the games and use tangible knowledge to predict.

I did my MA and setup databases myself, so we have that in common. It's pretty simple, high danger attempts are shots from the slot uncontested(simplified example). Its actually not that hard to quantify. [img][/img]

Not in Hockey. In Baseball yes because it's a more linear sport. There's a boatload more variables to consider in Hockey. Some of which I touched on. But at this point I'm done messing with you. I'm not really into Math enough anymore to go any further. The stats that I sorta enjoy are far more practical to my personal knowledge.

Watching the NYR vs NYI game, Miller and Zibanejad are playing really well together since they moved Z to the wing from center. That’s what Petey needs, be moved to the wing and play with a guy like Miller.
