Watching the NYR vs NYI game, Miller and Zibanejad are playing really well together since they moved Z to the wing from center. That’s what Petey needs, be moved to the wing and play with a guy like Miller.

I did my MA and setup databases myself, so we have that in common. It's pretty simple, high danger attempts are shots from the slot uncontested(simplified example). Its actually not that hard to quantify.

Hockey is 5 man units constantly moving & breakdowns can happen in various ways or simply lucky or unlucky bounces. WAR is useless in a sport that flows unlike MLB where it’s static 99% of the time.

Yes I agree that the Canucks need guys that are talented that also play through opponents, something I have always advocated for. But the heavy don’t back down type should also have integrity, and be someone to look up to and admire, those two are far from those qualities.

The last thing this team needs is mouthpieces of either Tkachuk, they are awful human beings.

If true offer is off the table for Boeser it’s a good chance he is a goner. Rental or resigned he’ll fetch a solid return. I’d like to see something like Mercer+ if NJD. If Buffalo Peterka+, if LAK Byfield off the top of my head. Speed & youth.

Some other teams out there haven’t bothered to think on much like Ottawa Florida Colorado to name a few. Lots of cap space to retain if necessary.
