That too. NHL teams need to develop their own "home team song". It works so well in footy/soccer.

Factor in salaries and I agree. Holmberg > Kampf ...and Robbie > Domi.

I think Robbie is probably part of the cost of getting better though.

If he is sure.

I just don't want him to be a throw in. He needs to be of value in a trade or I keep him.

Well, I mean he prefaced it by saying he's not an economist and then said something no economist thinks so....

Except that most actual economists are projecting reductions in U.S. economic growth, job losses and higher inflation.

US unemployment claims highest in years. Stocks crashing. It’s not going to work the way he wants. Manufacturing jobs left for a reason. Unless US workers are going to be willing to do those jobs without Union wages and benefits those jobs are never coming back.

Hey, I'm just passing along a theory for discussion. Obviously, it's going to take a while for the chips to fall where they may, but at least in theory this plan is plausible.

I find the idea that Trump has a plan to benefit the middle class to be simply not believable.

It’s a ridiculous theory.

He’s trying to bully his way into securing resources for a US economy that can’t live without them. That’s all it is.

The one that I'm watching is the price of orange juice (shout out to all Trading Places fans).

From what I've been hearing, Florida is now experiencing a labour shortage for poop jobs like construction and fruit harvesting.

It's not going to affect me, since drinking orange juice is virtually the same as injecting sugar in your veins.

But it will be interesting.

But you likely do use citrus oils as they are widely used in cleaning products. And they are basically triple the cost right now that they were a year ago.
But lots of areas are experiencing worker shortages lie trucking. Many drivers have been deported. Unless the US workers are going to be willing to take these jobs that they’ve thought were beneath them for the past couple decades it’s going to just get worse.

Sirsy, party politics aside, aren't the Tariffs a piss-off for aquaculture? I believe I had read as much as 65% of Canadian farmed fish goes south to the USA?

I don't know guys, maybe we should just join the US. That way, we can just sit back and enjoy as the supergeniuses that brought you the Wall and Full Self Driving make everything amazing! I mean, what's the catch? It almost sounds too good!

But further to your point, those of us of a certain age (I'm looking at you Cupsie, Lawsie) will remember a groundbreaking book called The Popcorn Report, by Faith Popcorn.

It was a huge hit. Basically explained to the general public how demographic shifts will have profound effects on consumer behaviour, the job market, etc.

It's bizarre that over 30 years later, and people can't grasp simple concepts.

The boomers are dying, and western societies aren't producing enough kids to sustain the populations.

Holes in employment are starting to show, and it's going to accelerate like a Leafs 18-wheeler off a cliff.
