i hated oasis when they were all over the radio but then decades later i came around. i couldn't get into the last album or two but eventually i fell in love with definitely maybe and what's the story morning glory. they just wrote great, hooky songs for both albums. really good songs, imo.

i've been told i need to give be here now another listen too, since it's more like the first 2 CDs than the last few.

Yeah, they can write a catchy hook, I find their vocals tend to be a little whiny/nasally and annoying at times, they are OK but not favourites.

definitely a couple of whiny/nasally bastards. but i just couldn't resist the hooks after a while.

i just read some reviews of be here now and i feel like i might be vindicated in lumping it in with the later CDs. apparently most people hated it. so i just realized that they're getting back together to tour and people are going to pay nuts money to see them and i only want to hear songs off the first 2 albums and some b-sides like acquiesce and the swamp song.

i feel like seeing them live would be cool for 2 reasons.

1) i always like seeing bands play and watching the things they do as well as listening to what they're doing. it's just interesting to me.

2) they could get in a fist fight at literally any time.
