Yes, exactly. Fitz did a bad job of asset management today. The price for Glass was silly; yes Stillman was probably a bust, but as a first rounder he should not be a throw in. Oh and Fitz drafted him in the first place, which I believe we all knew was a mistake. I just saw so much creativity on maneuvering from other GMs. Fitz moves struck me as a deer in a headlight moment. Why give up assets for salary retention for Dumoulin only not to do anything. I have defended Fitz in the past, but I have lost all faith of him leading this team to the promised land.

Not sure what to think about the moves, about Fitz, this team, Keefe.. the rebuild we endured, the leadership on the roster. Idk. I don’t wana be too negative, but it doesn’t look great. We looked so good in the first quarter of the season.. the system looked solid, the players were all-in. Then it slowly fell off. Trying to compare our rebuild to that of other teams- how long it took them to rebuild, who they landed in the draft, trades etc. Some of the current top teams weren’t doing too great several years ago. Neither were we. And here we are. Definitely can’t win em all, but Jack’s shoulders have me concerned. Even if he added 10lbs of muscle, I doubt it would have any effect on the shoulder durability. Genetics are what they are.. so are freak accidents and coincidences. While I’m not the most passionate Jack fan out there- seeing him shrink more than shine so many times when it matters most— I still know he’s such a young kid. My concern is if our leadership was/is strong enough to teach and model for him in his development. Nico isn’t much older and he’s been the captain. Is he the model for success mentally? I’ve never been overly confident in that, and I’m a Nico fan. Would’ve loved to have had a guy around 30yrs old who was also great AND a leader, to be the captain and model for our TWO 1st overall picks, plus Bratt and such.
