I like Minten but he is a 3rd line center at best.. Cowan showed little to no Hockey IQ at the Juniors and there was a clear different between him and other top prospects when it was all top players..

Sounds like the basis of the return for Mikko Rantanen when they get the deal done will be Logan Stankoven and two first-round picks.

Leafs need another big top 4 D.

Risto or Byram and LFG!!!

Without a first, very unlikely they could meet the price for Byram. He is the player I would overpay for.

They could be but Minten being a 3rd line center isn't a terrible draft pick for a 2nd round pick. Home grown depth guys are good too.

Cowan I have patience for only because he can still develop into a better player. Sometimes they take a step back to go two forward.

Do you know how many players had bad showings at the world juniors? More players had huge world juniors and sucked in the NHL then not. Im betting Cowan becomes a legit NHL play, not a star, but a good player.

Minten has potential to be better then a 2nd line C, but I dont think hell ever be a 2nd line C on a contender. He has scoring touch though.
