I believe the rumor started from Incarcerated Bob, who I can't believe is still a thing |

Maybe the scouts were given long terms deals like Garth was given?

Oh man...there's a name from the past. Wasn't he the guy starting fights with Botta claiming he "knew where the bodies were buried"? |

Sullivan to the Rangers...guessing they'll go with mostly the same roster and a new voice to lead them? |

Something like that. Everyone believed him because he just deleted all the tweets when he was wrong about something |

It is a good hire. Rangers need to work on the roster though. Sullivan could only do so much with the Pens roster. |

Could be. I didn't follow them enough to have a good opinion on why they crashed so hard this year. I do know guys like Laviolette and Torts run their course after a couple of years, so if that was the case, then Sullivan's probably a good enough coach to come in and turn things around with the current group.
But if it's more that there's something rotten with the core of the team, then a coach won't be able to fix everything. I thought I read an article about some players being ticked off by the trades made this past season, so I don't know where that would fit in. I guess that's Sullivan's problem now! |

A coach is only part of the equation. Even a great coach can only fix so much.

Yeah I’ve read the same. I wasn’t enamored with the Rangers lineup. Felt like they were more pretenders than anything else. Buoyed by a great goaltender. I also think some trades they’ve made upset some kind of balance in their locker room. They’ve committed to Drury so adding a no nonsense coach like Sullivan makes sense. Straighten out the primadonnas or move on from them. It won’t take that dude long to figure out where the problems are. |

Lightning GM Julien Brisebois says it's 'unlikely' top prospect Isaac Howard signs with club
Every team will be after him, but the Isles should absolutely be all over this. They have an extra pick next year (Tampa doesn't have their next two) and could probably offer him a spot on the NHL roster right from the get-go |

Don't know anything about him. Who on Tampa would be blocking him from moving up to the big club if he's that good? |

The biggest question is, will this team wait until playoffs are over to select their new GM? The other question is, if the do not wait until the end of the playoffs will they be getting the best choice? |

I would like to believe if they have someone in mind who is an assistant or GM for a playoff team they would wait. Doubt they are rushing this decision. |

Well, it will be interesting to see which way they are leaning and what gets leaked. Especially now that Lou no longer has that grip on information.
Mathieu Darche, season is over.

Do you think it is more important to select a president first or do you not see a conflict in selecting a GM first.

Really depends on what kind of autonomy they plan on giving the PHO. Are the owners including them in the decision process for the next GM. Maybe they have someone in mind for a dual role like Lou. A lot of variables there. I don’t have any idea which way they are going. I just hope they don’t go completely off the board OR decide on someone like Holland or god forbid Chiarelli. Also do not want Bergevin. |

What don't you like about Bergevin? I can understand Holland as he is to similar to Lou and well Chiarelli will give away what is left of the store.

Seems there are more quality GM candidates than Presidents. Even though he has been just an agent, I would like someone like Brisson for President over Holland, Bergevin, or Chiarelli because Brisson's work with players and the contacts he has made.
