Guys, he's on a 12 game point streak. Sure, it would be nice to see him score more, but he's been very effective on the score sheet and defensively. - Whipper
Cause his linemates are propping him up. |

He needs a change a scenery.
Make a deal with Van in the summer so he can go home and get help from his family with the baby. |

Starting to smell like the Sens 20 years ago. Built for the regular season. I guess we'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks. We need to get that top spot, but Florida looks invincible right now. Their next home game against Florida will be the final opportunity to see if they're in the same league as the Panthers, moving forward. |

Gotta be some kind of player to be 2nd in NHL in goal scoring playing with JT and Holmberg. JT having a great season but is hardly a playmaker. Couldn’t imagine the complaining on here if Holmberg played with Matthews and Mitch - jribout

Matthews 3 points
Nylander 2 points
Neither turned it over at the blue line which led to the GWG |

How many times do you idiots need to be told he isn’t going anywhere. She’s not leaving Toronto. Doesn’t matter one bit that he’s from Van. You’re stuck with him. |

Ummmm you made it sound like he was some chump player like Holmberg and that its a miracle that our future captain willy could score as many goals as he had with them.

My intention was that it is impressive Willie scores without an elite playmaker on his line…. Without an assist type centre and if you read carefully that is pretty much exactly what I said. But keep doing your best Rare Jewel impression. I can handle it |

Matthews is fine, sure. But what he rarely ever does is go best on best and unequivocally come out top dog. As I was saying earlier, we’re not winning unless he elevates. |

This team is so, so far away from being a team capable of even competing for a Stanley Cup.
Colorado has horrible goaltending and still managed to skate circles around the Leafs for the majority of the game.
Leafs are relying far too much on the model of getting outshot and outplayed but still outscoring teams to win games. Doesn't work against a team just as skilled and just as fast and won't work in the playoffs either.
It literally looks like a Randy Carlyle team with more firepower.
As soon as the goaltending isn't .925 SV%, this team is screwed. Considering both goaltenders are entering uncharted waters for games played, it could just be a matter of time.
And if that wasn't bad enough, they just tried to trade their leading scorer instead of giving him an extension. If they lose Marner for nothing, this franchise is going to start a downward spiral back to mediocrity and a rebuild. Instead of capitalizing on the single greatest era of raw talent, they're starting to throw it away just like they always have. |

Tre clearly doesn’t like where the negotiations with Marner are, hence the ask. Marner seems intent on bleeding every penny once again.

Both of my Blue and Whites looked like a bunch of soft girls delicately wishing the other team would stop being mean to them. Neither one looked or acted like a contender. One got shut out by a skeletonized Boston team and the other got owned by Big Mac and the Avs. Which one is less shameful? Both are unacceptable. Both of those games were winnable at some point.
You can't leave two points on the table like that and expect to win the division. Florida is going to pull away now and the Leafs and Bolts are going to murder each other in the first round while those rat-worshipping phucktards in Miami sit on the sidelines and laugh.

Or, to put it another way, the Leafs are gonna win the division, the conference and the Cup. |

The Leafs currently rank 22nd by 5v5 xGF%.
The only teams behind them who are in a playoff spot are Columbus (8th in East) and Calgary (T-8th in West).
They are 20th in xGF/60, a stat that they've finished no worse than 6th during the Matthews era. |
