Idk.. I think his camp is just doing what’s best for him.

I understand Tre’s position on this, he doesn’t like Marner holding his feet to the fire.

I doubt it. I think Marner’s position has always been to push for as much as he can get and to use the threat of free agency to help. The only questions are whether he’d really walk and how high the Leafs would have to go to keep him. He’s going to cash in big time if he gets to free agency
