How long does Briere get to turn this around? Summer of 2027 will be his 5th offseason.

Really hasn’t been any improvement since he took over.

- Striiker

I don’t know. It doesn’t feel like he’s under pressure to win anytime soon. As long as they keep drawing at the games I think they’ll let him run it

The team has to find a way to finish lower then PIT. Crosby cannot finish lower then them. Cruel and unusual punishment. Today was a very good regulation loss.

Briere with some decent moves yesterday. Although it took way to long to do so. Should have moved Laughton years ago. Also repeating the same mistakes by not moving Risto. Never ahead of the curve.

I can see them really throwing some money around this off season.

I think Briere gets a longer leash thanks to his playing career here, which I absolutely hate. It was a PR hire to begin with so as long as he remains likeable he’s probably safe.

If it were different ownership I think it’d be a different story. 3 GMs since Homer with abysmal on ice results. Since Giroux they’ve only had one huge draft hit (in Michkov). That’s one big hit in 19 years. Let that sink in.

It honestly might just come down to attendance. If things start taking too long and fans start leaving again we know thats the cue for Comcast to start pretending like they give a (frank) about hockey again.

Now they’ll get to see how bad he sucks and regret losing that first.

Just wonderful that we got Pelletier for him and also had to throw in frost. Really didn’t get much for those two players even though they’ve had their struggles

Flyers next 10 games- vs NJ, vs OTT, vs TB, vs CAR, @TB, @ WSH, @ DAL, and @ CHI. @ TOR, vs MTL. Dallas and Chicago back to back afternoon games. I don't want to get ahead of myself for the best possible draft pick, but this schedule helps achieve that goal. Maybe Fedotov can throw in a ridiculous performance or two because right now Ersson looks lost. The PP is dead and buried.

The leash should be long. They’ve (frank)ed themselves over and again. I have little to no hope when lappy is still running the show in the A. Coaches like rocky are still on the bench. Dinosaur alumni still around a part of the show. Slim to no hope

I cannot see how Torts is behind the bench next season. This could end up 2 straight seasons the team has melted down in the last quarter of the season. He cannot escape the PP has been dog crap under his tenure.

Briere inherited him as HC. He needs to be judged on who the next HC is hired.

Pelly sucks. I'd take Farabee any day, although I understand why they moved him. That said, the Hexy picks have not been beneficial

yes, a bleak outlook but can't wait to hear Ashlyn, Hartnell and the others talk about how the Flyers can make the playoffs

Please no more Torts! I'm always entertained by him but he needs to be gone. He is the worst coach for a rebuilding team

I just find it amusing how much credit given to him for "player develpment". However, he recieves no criticism for the PP. It's all Rocky's fault. I can guarantee Torts has full control over the employment of his assistants.

Yep! Spot on! I always try to be optimistic, but Torts is past his prime and no good for a younger team

Frost has several 40 plus point seasons under his belt. Pelletier doesn’t even have 40 career points. Pelletier is garbage and can see why he was waived several months ago.

Frost is the 16th highest scorer from his draft class. Seeing he was drafted 27th overall seems like he is doing ok.

- Striiker

Frost is also has 4 years in the NHL. Pelletier is a rookie. He is a reclamation project, just as Frost is for the Flames...

I understand too but I would have liked to give him another season. Frost Im fine with moving on with. 46 points career high at 25. It doesnt seem likely he will be a good top 6 player.

Farabee is 24 and I would have liked to see which Farabee is the real one. The one that had 40 points in 50 games last season or this years Farabee. To be fair, if this year is the real Farabee then a 2nd is a steal. I just worry at 24 years old its a youth consistency issue.

At least we are probably getting what we’ve all been hoping for… a really good top 5-7 pick in this years draft. Maybe even a little bit of good luck with the lottery. Tankathon Mock draft had the Flyers getting:

Anton Frondell
Blake Fiddler
Braeden Cootes

I don’t know much about these draft eligible players. Is that good?

To those of you who follow the juniors, who’s some of the guys we should be pulling for with the top pick and who would be great if they fell to the 2 lower 2nds?

Pelletier is a not a rookie. The coach is really doing a great job with him don’t you think?

Help me understand how Frost, coming off 2 back to back 40 plus point seasons, is a reclamation project.

All tolled I think they got Jakob Pelletier, a 2025 second-round pick, a 2028 seventh-round pick, and a 2027 third-rounder (from LA for Kuzmenko) for Frost and Farabee. Not great.

How is he not a rookie? Lol This season is the first he has played 25 games in a season.....

Maybe because 40 points is not good enough for a 2nd line C at 25 years old? 26 years old is a typical forwards peak. Frost is 25, turns 26 in may

Pelletier has played 68 games over 4 seasons. To compare him to a players who has played 4+ seasons is asinine. He has played 6 more games than MM. Is MM not a rookie?

Not bad either. You forget both players have severely underproduced and struggled. Plus one has a 5 mill cap hit which we cleared completely.

No one is claiming its a homerun deal. There are still a chance one of the two players turns it around. So far its been more or less the same for them in CGY. Its a fair deal. Everyone was claiming these guys sucked and should be traded but somehow expected a prime return. It really says something when teams are more interested in Laughton. How many teams kick tires on Frost/Farabee?
