Fi-re Dru-ry clap clap clap - Fenrir
Drury isn't the one having no defensive structure, choosing the lineup and refusing to bench players. |

with some quick google search... heres what I came up with...
Gregory Campbell is the assistant GM for the Panthers. We hire him as GM.
Rich Peverley is Director of Player Personnel for the Stars. We hire him as Asst GM and GM of the Wolfpack.
This is 2 teams I feel have done a great job putting together a squad, and hopefully using what they've seen and learned they could bring it to NY.
We also need better scouts. Its been far too many drafts where we have missed. |

He’s the one making roster decisions, like trading Kakko, trading for Miller when this team CLEARLY wasn’t ready for the playoffs, etc etc |

Yea but for the dead weight he has got rid of credit there, he has not really done anything well outside of miller. Defense still a mess with just new names. However cheaper and shorter contracts |

I dont mind him trading for Miller because hes clearly been the best player on the team by a mile. I am on record saying I didnt think it was the right time and didnt think he would make a big enough impact. However, he has been every bit the leader and star we were hoping for. |

This season's trades have been about the future makeup of this team by gutting the core. If Kreider was healthy he's likely a goner. Some of the incoming players are likely filler to see what shakes out in training camp. Going to be an interesting summer.. |

I love Borgen but do I look at him as a top pairing defensman absolutely not. 2nd pair guy in my opinion. keandre Miller this one kills me because he has been playing much better lately but the mistakes he makes in crucial moments of the game are egregious. I would bring him back on a bridge deal but I would also explore what he could fetch. Schneider has played himself into a bottom pairing. He hasn’t taken that next step in his development yet. He’s still very young and not willing to give up on him yet but at this point don’t think he’s a top 4 defensman. This guy Vaakanainen or whatever his name isn’t that great IMO. Think he’s your 7th D. Next season this is what you’re looking at.
*** Fox
Miller Borgen
*** Schneider
Urho Vaakanainen

The future?? Like 2 years from now future because if your center piece of the future is a 33yo Miller and a 33yo Mika I wouldnt say the future is too bright. This defense really sucks ass. |

Drury started this cluster (frank) of a season alienating the players and it has turned into dog poop!!!
I for one didnt have much faith in this core but I was on board for the run last year. Best record in the league to this????

I think it’s VERY underrated how badly Drury handled the off-season and the carryover affect to the locker room. He’s an amateur GM that’s made some terrible decisions, with the latest being the trust of the team. |

I tend to agree with you, I want to wait to see what Drury does with the cap space this summer. Like him or not, Drury has not had an off-season with cap space and the ability to create a team in his vision. However, we will see if he has a vision this off-season. As of now, a lot of you are right, we don't have a clear picture of that vision, just some signings and trades based on limited cap space over the years. |

Anybody on here who thinks there’s going to be a rebuild or trading the core in the off season is DELERIOUS! Nobody’s going anywhere and if you don’t like it stop watching and find another team to watch.dolan will NEVER agree to a hard rebuild! k |

Yep I am not judging Drury until I see what he does this summer. It was always about retooling for next season. All the work isn’t done yet |

I’m judging Drury for misjudging the core and not landing bigger names than wennberg, roslovic, and smith. Yes he added Kane and Tarasenko a few tdl’s ago but only because he got them at discounts, deservedly so. Then he adds JT after we’ve fallen out of contention. Better swing huge this offseason. Imagine we got guentzel last TDL? |

He has to add a legit 2C who is still in their 20s and a LH d man who can play on the top pair with Fox. Trocheck needs to slide to the 3C next season |

Don’t think anyone expects a rebuild. I do think a retool over the next year or two is possible. They want to move off kreider and zib. Doubt they resign panarin with that Fa class - nyrangers2
Yeah I know CK20 is tradeable but I dont see Mika waving, he has too much time left on the contract. Panarin might be brought back since I doubt Mcdavid or Eichel will sign with another team. The FA classes in the next 2 years dont have that "Id give you anything you want" guy |
