It's always interesting when people say McDavid won't resign, because like, where is he going to go? There isn't a better team that would have the room to add him, and I don't know why he would want to go to a worse team.

I don’t think you’re considering that the Leafs might want to move on from Marner and he might not have a say in staying in Toronto if that’s the case.

Really don’t see him ending up in Edmonton regardless though. If they decided to pay McDavid, Leon and Marner that team is going to be garbage whenever those guys aren’t on the ice. You’re talking majorly cheaping out on defense and goaltending to offset those contracts and take it from a Flyers fan that does just not work.

Skinner looked to be coming into his own last season but alas has been super-leaky this year. Nurse and Bouchard have been a mess however and the additions on D will help. Give it a bit of time.

I agree, Oiler management is clueless. Can’t see the forest through the trees. Keep investing in forwards because it worked in the 80’s completely ignore the backend and goalie situation. Where do you think they trade McDavid to when he says he won’t sign an extension?
