I read it was Kokowhatami, a 1st and something else irrelevant for Boeser and a prospect. Apparently the 'prospect' was one the Canucks didn't want to part with.

There are only 2 prospects worth caring about, Willander and Mynio

Yes, read that too. Apparently they wanted Lekker/Willander/EP2 type of prospect. Clear reason to say no to that.

I never thought to add EPT in my above comment, as I consider him a fulltimer now and not a prospect.

I keep getting told by the geniuses in here, that it doesn't matter what country you come from.

Enjoy the games and say hello to Sawyer's mom for me

I think Makita might have a spare #40 jersey for you to toss.

It matters to me because I'm a Canadian living in Canada who grew up playing the sport. I don't care what other people think.

We'll do. Should I ask her for a bobblehead?

Makita, well, he probably sleeps with his Petey jersey for comfort at night. I'd never want to deny him that security.

A fella I know went to last night's game, said Pouty is worse than I have been trying to explain to him.
He had his Pouty jersey on, so I asked him why it never hit the ice?

I agree, it does matter. I expect to see more super soft forwards signed this off-season, which some fans will drool over.

The reason people aren't throwing jerseys is because not everyone is an over-reactive crybaby who wants to throw a $300 purchase away when their team hasn't been playing well for one(1) year.

The draft is decentralized. All the teams will be doing it from their home base. Like the NBA and NFL do.

Oh that's right, they had 1 successful season in over a decade, how dare I criticize this group of deadbeats

Don't think many GM's like this idea. Hopefully it is the only time they do it this way

It was the teams that wanted to do it. They’re giving it a shot. Bettman is sceptical but they voted for it at the governors meetings.

Ya, I am aware of the governors wanting it, but the GM's don't

The GM's wanted it(or a majority did), the reasoning being that the draft was too close to free agency and valuable time was lost as GM's and scouts flew back from the draft host city. Again, not all GM's felt this way but enough did to make the change.

Criticizing is pretty different from throwing a temper tantrum and chucking a jersey on the ice.

How many of the players on the current roster have been there for a decade?

I only have a Hughes and a Royals jersey to pack. Both are making the trip back. If I find a free 40 along the way I'll definitely give it a toss. Honestly looking forward to the Junior game more. Get to watch some hungry Canadian boys play the game the way it should be.

I was thinking about snagging a couple last min tix. Prices keep dropping but so does my motivation. Tough to justify the per goal investment the way things are tracking. Maybe if Hughes magically returns.

My Nephew is taking me, he has season tickets so it's only costing me beer. We've been planning to do this since Summer. Also helps that my Mother in Law lives in Mount Royal a few blocks off 17th. So walking distance to the Dome. But yeah, I'm probably going to eat it pretty good at the game the way things are going.

We'll probably do the bulk of the drinking and eating before the game at home. Better beer selection and the food is guaranteed to be fantastic. Maybe a bit of bar hopping on the walk down.

Sure. I'll get you a scouting report on Joe Iggy as well. He's on the Oil Kings.
