I don't think so either, but would still rather they gave him some games to try. |

I also don’t like how many scrub contracts we have for next year as well. - 10inchTerror
Curious who you mean? NHL vets, or all the prospect defenseman we brought in? |

Good thing Hayes was scratched while DOC was never doing anything remotely close to that fake clap pass to Geno earlier in the year. |

Got it. It's another reason I don't see a big turnaround next year. |

Between Kolyachonak, Pickering, and Brunicke we have some intriguing pieces for the future of the blue line. |

That’s great and all, the Pens really just need like 3 steady, responsible, physical and mean D men. There’s a 10x10 box in front of the Pens net that’s just owned by the opposition. I’ve also never seen a D core that it’s so easy for the puck carrier to cut to the middle of the ice on. A Ben Lovejoy, and a Hal Gill would be welcome additions to this club. |

It is interesting that we are going on a win streak when wins don't matter.
Here is some info:
Karlsson had provided Dubas a very small list of possible teams he would want to be traded to. Apparently Karlsson has become good friends with Sid and doesn't want to leave. Pens are actually moving forward with a plan for the offseason where Karlsson is with this team next season....the only bright spot is they are trying to potentially get a more defensive responsible partner for him. |

Anyone who thought these players/this team would just lose out the rest of the season or try to tank don't understand hockey players.
Pens are going to end up with two mid round 1st picks, theirs and the Rangers' pick. Book it. |

At this point I would be fine if he just played roamer with Malkin while 2 defensively responsible D man were on the ice. He’s extremely frustrating because at times he makes great defensive plays. Other times it’s like ehh. |

They'd have to go on a quite a roll to climb into "mid round" for their own pick. They've been playing well overall since the break, but goaltending has let them down until the past 2 games. Our goalies will soon get us back into the hunt for a top-5 pick.
Also, not sure the Rags can hang on and stay out of their protected top-13 region, so that pick may roll over to next year. |

They're 7 points out of 17th overall in the league with 15 games left. Rangers are 1 point out of 17th and 2 out of WC spot with desperation to make it into playoffs. Now, obviously its not the top 16 that get into playoffs, I'm just using 17th as basically the middle of the standings for this discussion. I will stick to what I said, I think the Pens end up with two middle 1st round picks when the final whistle on the season blows. I dont see the Pens falling into the bottom 5 teams in standings. |

The Pens have played the most games in the league. It's better to look at points percentage. They're a long way from even 10th from last at this point.
I hope the Rags make it, but they really suck, so I have no faith in them. |

Yeah, they've played 2 or 3 games more than most. However, that was with really, really bad goaltending. Even if Jarry just plays league average from here on out they are going to rise up the standings a bit, let alone if he keeps playing elite. Few ifs, I know haha. |

This. If you are gonna run Letang and ek back to back they need 2 big nasty LD that clear the crease and play well in the D-zone. Bring up any kids willing to go to war. I’m fine losing for a few years as long as there’s a coach capable of teaching them to be very hard to play against in all 3 zones. Eventually the skill will come to win. |
