Oh, the song of the future has been sung
All the battles have been won
On the mountain tops we stand
All the world at our command
We have opened up this soil
With our tears and our toil |

in all seriousness, I wish they'd just get rid of them and put us on permanent daylight time already - TheMussel
Im fine with timezones, they are needed. But daylight savings isnt anymore. Get rid of that poop. Just keep the time as it now, no more falling back. |

The opposite of trans isn't straight, you bigot. - Whipper
I mean the analogy just don't work.
Now on the other hand if were a monorail that was sometimes a maglev, that'd be another story.

Very few players traded at the deadline likely mesh with their new teams immediately. It's going to take a couple of weeks. I would've preferred the deals be made in February - but I believe there were a large number of teams that still felt that they were in the mix in February that sort of fell out by March.
But I mean you're Brandon Carlo and you've been playing with Zadorov predominantly this year. Morgan Rielly is a hell of a change of scenery. One guy plays nothing but defense and the other doesn't at all.
Laughton was playing with Poehling and Hathaway. Domi and McMann are bringing more skill but you were getting more grit and physicality from Hathaway and more shot blocking from both of them. If you added Domi and McMann's shot blocks together you'd still have less than either of Poehling or Hathaway.

Agreed.
Also being thrown on the road right away.
Carlo is a great fit in this system I think he gets used to it quickly.
Laughton might take a bit here, he just can't try and do too much. I liked Domi last night. McCmann has been bad lately, we need him to step up. |

Just looking at Carlo on Boston. The last 4 years he had 19-25% Dzone starts.
He has had 29% so far. I wonder how that changes when Tanev is back.
Don't love Rielly getting 30% D zone starts. You would assume McCabe and Tanev take the bulk of those. |

I (or my dog) may have cracked the code by accident for 10pm games. Watched he’s 2 periods, turned it off and went to sleep.
Awakened by the dog who wanted to go out (and of course do nothing but bark at the air and smell the smells).
Crawled back into bed and couldn’t sleep so went and turned TV on and caught the last 3 min of OT and the shootout.
Back to bed to sleep. The nap between the end of the 2nd and half of OT was nice.
From what I’ve read and saw this win was all Will which is awesome. To see him bounce back after a tough last game is great.
Marner and Matthews scoring in the shootout was a nice change and also great to see. Willy just missed his shootout attempt but it a a good strategy he took - as a goalie that one beats you more often than not.
Will in the shootout was calm & confident.
Nice to get a win in a game they kinda fell apart in. Hope it helps get them back to where they can be and were.
I agree new guys still trying to figure it out and will both get better.
Man the Tanev loss is bigger than I thought he’s so damm good. I hope he’s back soon, anyone heard any updates?

I've noticed that about McMann in his last few games - maybe since Monday at least - he's been slower on the uptake. Like his anticipation or recognition of developing plays hasn't really been that sharp and he's just a beat behind everything - checks, engagement, and so on.

Yeah I agree. There was a 5 game stretch where he did not get a 5v5 shot on goal...and he was top 5 in the league in 5v5 shots per 60 for most of the season.
Something is not right there, right now at least. |
