The problem is, is it the player or is it the coach? Especially when its nearly the entire team.

I feel like its potentially a lose lose situation potentially with LAF.

If he continues to play like this and we try to move him, we will get squat for him. If he starts stepping up and scoring again, you're now left to wonder which LAF is the real LAF... and are you willing to gamble on it on June 30th before the NMC and new contract kick in?

Understood the contract extension at the time but it was a gamble. Just didn’t pay off. Other teams have tired it and it worked out well

I really wonder what happens this summer. Will Drury nuke the rest of the roster if they miss out. Or just move Kreider and call it a day

Told my wife before the game if I had a sports betting account I'd put $5 on Stinky to score.
Should have had my buddy do it.

This is the part of the team I would want to keep and where they slot.

______, Miller, Perreault
Cuylle, ______, ______
______, Trocheck, Berard
Edstrom, Carrick, Rempe

Panarin for me is a bit of a wild card. If we could get a haul for him, Id be open to trading him. Otherwise, Id be fine keeping him.

The defense, no one is untouchable. However I firmly believe Fox should be shut down for the rest of the season. Im still convinced he hasnt been healthy since last year.

Not making the playoffs so there is no reason to bring Fox back. Injured Fox on the ice is not helping this team.

And, why is Berard still not in the lineup?

I dont know, Im not as down on Fox as some are simply because I realize hes hurt but also now doesnt really have a LD partner.

Shut him down, were not making the playoffs, get him the PT he needs to heal up and more importantly get him an LD that he can play with and rely on.

Miller shows up, Mika is a PPG player again yet the team is 7-8 since he came. Defense man are all bottom pairing, we dont have a top pairing defense man. When you trade a third round pick for a defense man, that should tell you they are just a bottom pairing player.

The defense stinks, and Fox should be moved to a 2nd pairing role. I dont think hes cut out to be one of the "heads of the snake".

Can you name me your current top 10 defensemen in the league (you don't have to order them)?

See, “the best” defenseman is quite the misnomer. The guys who play the best defense are always overlooked by the guys doing the scoring. Fox is a top 10 offensive defenseman, but he is not a top 10 defender.

If you are building a team from scratch to win a cup right now who is the number 1 defenseman you would take?

Now there are 9 other teams doing the same thing going after you. Who are they taking?

Let's not get cute.

This would be ideal but means they are getting rid of the big 3 this summer
