its funny how he says that while Bergevin is the one who actually got suzuki
Hughes is the current GM as far as I know and its on him to complete the job that Bergevin actually started - deadpoulet
MB did not want Suzuki though. He wanted Cody Glass, Vegas did not want to give him up, so they offered Suzuki.
That is a fact.
So yes, MB did get Suzuki, but not because he strategically targeted Suzuki.

Monty or Dobes in net? Well at least Isles win doesn't count towards Regulation Win? |

sure, but he still ended up pulling the trigger on the trade and should get credit for it like any other trade imho.

Meanwhile Hughes traded for Dach and Newhook. He did try but he will have to do better
Bergevin did trade for Danault as well (before he ruined it, sure) |

Sure.
Meanwhile, he traded our best D prospect for a player he believed to be a sure fire #1 center (who never really played center in the NHL), and that imploded before the first season even ended.
I'm tied of the MB debate, he was a poop GM with no long-term plan or vision, did not know how to manage prospects, signed old has-been and broken-down players in the hope to find some magic.
(frank)ing failure.
End of story.
