Today I got the debut self-titled album by the Tom Tom Club (1981), which is a funky wacky new wave, world beat, disco-ish dance album, created as a side project from members of the Talking Heads.

This album is likely mostly famous to a lot of people from Mariah Carey's sampling of "Genius of Love" on her song "Fantasy".

Time for some wacky fun, hopefully as awesome as I remember..

i just listened and somehow i don't think i ever heard of them. i recognize the parts mariah carey sampled but it's the first time i ever knew any of this.
