Yeah but look at Gallagher, we thought he was finished physically but he's got a good bounce back year.

different kind of player though, Gally hasn't slowed down as much even if he's also really banged up, and his ice time has been managed better.

Savard as a 7th dman could be a good fit for him if he wants to stick around.

cccp and karine, good morning.

Good Morning soon-to-be-drafted American sent to the 49th parallel.

Today I got "Cee-Lo Green... Is The Soul Machine" by Cee Lo Green (2004).

Not the one with "(frank) you", so that is disappointing, time to see what this is all about.

Meh, he has an ok voice that he uses in very annoying ways.

5 songs on and it is maybe OK.... will see how the back 2/3ds work out.

I don't think at 34 he sees himself as a 7th yet. But I do think Mtl can sign him at a discount and use him on the PK and manage his icetime and he can still be effective on the third pairing and still bring leadership

At some point you have to decide when to move on to make room for new kids.

While the D is still pretty young, guys like Guhle (if he can remain healthy) and Matheson are vets on D and up front you have Suzuki and Gallagher, too. Just not sure where Savard fits, if you want to move up some of the (should be) ready prospects from Laval.

well that's surely the hard part for almost every player, accepting the fact that you're towards the end of your career and can't be as efficient as you used to. it's tricky if you want to give both Struble and Xhekaj regular minutes but I agree keeping Savard around does still have its advantages.

There are good parts, but... only parts of songs, so far not a whole song I am completely enjoying.

Yeah, the only thing is that we know we need centers.

Right now Newhook is doing very well but I'm not sure he's the longterm solution (if I'll be the first happy I love his speed and dynamic play).

We do have a surplus of D(reminds me of engineering school parties), if Hughes wants to make a move he's probably going to have to use them.

I guess the decision to keep Savard will be dependent on if he has a trade in the works or not.

A guy in my beer league has been blocking shots for 1 game and is complaining about it for 3 weeks.

Imagine 14 years.

No, no, he's a winger. Just not very tolerant to pain.

He received a puck on his forearm and he yelled in pain so loudly, everyone thought he had broken something.

It turned out to be a small bruise.

Yeah and the habs have alot of D, but there's alot of teams that are struggling to have 6 regulars. Just look at the Islanders we saw the other night. They have tried 13 different D this year, they would give Savard a two-three year deal for sure as a regular.

I would not be surprised of Savard just decided to retire at the end of this year.

Regardless, I would not give him more than 1 year, tbh, if anything. If he can get more elsewhere, good on him.

The most important thing for Savard right now, from what I understand, is keeping his family close to Quebec so his children can grow up here, with the rest of his family.

I don't know how much of a discount that's worth for him, or if Toronto/Ottawa/Boston would be acceptable but I think there's a decent chance he's willing to come back if the Habs want him to.
