I almost don't want him to come over this year, not only because it would burn a year on his entry level contract, but because the team is really focused right now and I wonder if the media distraction will be a significant deterrence.

Let the kid ease in at camp next year.

- Mashadar

good point about the potential distraction, but as far as I'm concerned it would be totally worth it for that kind of talent... the habs would immediately be adding much needed offense on the 2nd line.

it's 99% certain it isn't going to happen anyway, just a nice thought to have lol.

Rottenburger is too much of a female genitalia to let him go. He's like a kid with a toy that he can't have. If he can't have him, then nobody can. (frank) that pasty ass hat. We can wait for DemiGod and will be that much sweeter! And have the full 3 years of the entry level contract.
- Snots33_77

if it were to happen it wouldn't be just up to Rottenburger, but more about the habs giving up a certain amount of money, for "compensation" purposes lol

I don't like how you just post stuff like that to stir things up man, I would never do something like that.

The most important thing for Savard right now, from what I understand, is keeping his family close to Quebec so his children can grow up here, with the rest of his family.

I don't know how much of a discount that's worth for him, or if Toronto/Ottawa/Boston would be acceptable but I think there's a decent chance he's willing to come back if the Habs want him to.

He might retire is the word on the street

My understanding is he will be sent down for the playoff run at their lower level league.

I am OK with that.

September is fine.

I find it would be nice if new posters actually joined in the conversation from time to time, but I doubt that's ever going to happen...

meh, I find the hockey talk vs dumb jokes ratio has gotten out of whack, but maybe that's just me... and it's fine, whatever people want I guess.

I understand, but with the trade deadline past and the draft still months away there's only so much we can discuss about 7th Ds, 4th liners and zone defense between games.

I need entertainment because work is very very very boring right now

Long season.

Besides, other than the playoff drive, not much to talk about right now... no trades forthcoming, no real moves 'til the off-season, kinda dead between games.

The earlier part of the of the year, you are probably correct, but we also tend to go over the same hockey related poop again and again, too. So there is that.

And to zone or not zone defense and how the hybrid fits into the mix.

I think Savard needs to sit, he has slowed down it was obvious against Colorado, but i don’t think they’ll do it. I think it will be either Struble or Xhekaj and that’s a shame
- Karine Hains

wifi is barely playing (11-12-13 minutes a game)

Like Mathias Brunet said : that means the coach does not trust him. That should be an easy decision. Struble almost play twice as much.

oh I get all that, which is why it would be nice if other people outside of the regular bunch would occasionally chime in, and maybe bring a different perspective. there used to be more hockey discussions going on here than this for sure.

not a big deal though, it is what it is.

we should have done some sort of field of 64 something that we vote on to make march madness interesting. like a field of 64 candy bars or something. it would keep us busy between hockey talk.

i'm a snickers guy myself but like we said yesterday skor and heath bars are the best if you can find them.

I'm not sure I'm familiar with this field of 64 thing, sounds like an obscure Nintendo reference loll
