Anyone read about that 16 year old in the Quebec minor hockey league?
Kicked a kid in the head multiple times with his skates on. Suspended 8 games and first game back attacks a player with his stick (in the head).

- Woderwick

No wtf?
Kick that piece if poop out of the league...heck just arrest him.

Only 8 games for kicking with a skate? The league should be embarrassed

Unless the kid already has CTE or something, I blame the parents. They raised a monster. Comes right back and does the same thing again? That's poopty parenting at best. I woulda got my ass beat and if I did it again, I would have never played hockey again.
- GalacticStone

He could very well have poopy parents but unless the parents and or coach said you better go back out and attack someone again.....its mostly on the piece of poop kid.

He only got 8 games for kicking a kid in the head multiple times with skates on is the first WTF in that story. Jesus what is that league thinking? If the kid who got hit in the head has parents who are the type to sue the league may be in some trouble.

Wild.

The NHL would have thrown the book at him and levied at least a 4,000 fine.

Sure it’s ultimately on the kid but there’s a pretty strong reward structure in hockey that can often reward this kind of behaviour especially for impressionable kids. Look at the behaviour of the adults in the situation.

The league gave him a slap on the wrists. Opposing team appealed to have him banned, league said no.

Coach could have kicked (pardon the pun) him off the team but he’s back out there. Parents could have done the same but didn’t.

My kid was a goalie in mid level rep hockey. Coach on an opposing team told his players to take him out. Kid runs him and gives him concussion. That kind of thing isn’t as uncommon as we’d like to think.

From Jonas Siegel:

Craig Berube is shaking things up.

It appears the Leafs will line up like this tonight:

Knies — Matthews — Domi
McMann — Tavares — Marner
Nylander — Laughton — Järnkrok
Lorentz — Holmberg — Robertson

David Kämpf looks to be the odd man out

Fixed.

Also, a lot of people here get wayyyyy too into the semantics of things when they thinking about our great game. They go “looks at these number, looks at those Xcorsi % ozone entires, this guys does this while that guy does that” blah blah..

I think like a coach. I see things like a coach. That’s why pretty much everything I say comes from former pro hockey players, or coaches.

People are so goddman stupid these days and only see what they want to see.

Well until the parents and league have the stona to remove those types of coaches, they will persist

If Ottawa wins again, Spatso will appear.

We cannot, in good conscience, allow that to happen.

Leafs win 4-2. YARNCOCK with the game winner.

I hope Domi stays in Super Saiyan mode.
