The script flipped a bit last night. Matthews line had a sleepy night. JT-Willie-McMann plus the McCabe-Tanev pairing dominated all night long ...mostly playing against Panarin and Trochek.
If those two lines get going at the same time Zezel's going to need a double-locked chastity belt. |

Thanks I noticed Marner blow a wheel at one point and Matthews with a good scoring chance but they were fairly quiet aside from that.
The talking heads post game were certain McMann is now solidified as a top 6 guy, locking up that line 2 left wing spot and that line sure looked good last night.
If that play keeps up from the Leafs Zezel is going to need a double locked and double sided chastity belt!

As long as the cap is going up, that would be pretty swag. |

Strangely is seems McMann when he is on has the ability to lift a line..
Domi/Robertson/McMann has been really good lately.. last nigh Domi/Robertson were kinda invisible. but JT/Nylander/McMann were flying..
I think when he is engaged the ability to get in on the forecheck and disrupt is exactly what Berube's system needs to be successful. |

They burnt their congratulations in the parking lot of their arena.
It was an interesting ceremony, to be sure. |

Guys, this team is on a sweet, sweet 3 game heater, but looking at the schedule we really should stretch that to 8. What are the odds? |

LA Kings would need to use a protection slot on Quinton Byfield for sure.

So the weird thing is a league of 21 teams never really bothered me, but if they make it a 34 team league, my OCD will go into overdrive.
Keep it at 32, thank you. |

Meh. This isn't really a "Jack Eichel" situation or anything. Not sure either fanbase has really gotten to dance for joy for the outcome. Leafs got a very good player and some good times. Isles got to have fun chucking beer on the ice and hurling insults with a few nice runs in the playoffs playing dreadful hockey, |

I don't think we'll know the exact Atlantic seeding of the top-3 until the final game of the season. This divisional race is going down to the wire.
In the past, the Leafy thing would be to beat teams like Colorado down the stretch, but then lose to teams like Chicago and Barfalo. Finish 3rd and then have to duke it out with one of the methed-out Florida teams in round one.
Now, Berubae's Wonder Leafs will run out the table and finish first in the division. Then they can have their way with the wildcard team while the Florida Men knock each other's few-remaining teeth out for seven games.

Can’t keep watering down the product.
Why not have an NHL Europe league? Grow the game over there.
European players can play for their hometowns for a year before making the jump, then go back when they retire from the NHL. Ovi hinted that he’ll play one more year then go back to his poophole country and play there.
Stockholm
Helsinki
Zürich
Berlin
Prague
Riga
Bratislava
London or Oslo..
They can sorta be like the AHL, but a tier above. I’d watch that’s poop. |

As if the Rangers didn't have enough drama. Their crash really needs to be studied.

As the Canadian anthem would have been played before the American one, unless he took his helmet off for the Canadian one and then put it back on, this is a non-story. |
