It would be cool to see how the other fans cheer and get hyped for the games. Different traditions etc. The NHL would still be the big show, but the EPHL would be sick. NHL teams could call guys up from there, when players outgrow the CHL/NCAA but still want to make it pro, they could sign over there..

Why not have an NHL Europe league? Grow the game over there.

European players can play for their hometowns for a year before making the jump, then go back when they retire from the NHL. Ovi hinted that he’ll play one more year then go back to his poophole country and play there.

I tried to go back and watch the game, but they trimmed the anthems out. I'm sure it had nothing to do with this, but still unfortunate.

I can be mostly European players..

Guys who want to play in front of their home countries fans, and still want to make it to the NHL.

They can essentially be farm teams, but for European players.

For example, Topi and Roni can play for Helsinki, and if they never make the NHL they can make the jump. Let Euro pay for their development
