I don't think he'll go missing. I just think he won't score another goal until playoffs start.

Can't imagine EVER playing over there with the state of Russian aviation. It's exponentially worse now.

Most college UFAs turn out to be depth players at best, and Prokop is no different. Fortunately, he’s more rounded than many other blueliners available this year. Many scouts don’t expect him to be an offensive defenceman at the next level but more of a shutdown guy. That’s partly because Prokop’s offensive game is more about straight-line, simple moves and less dynamicism. He can be creative at times but predictable all the same. At the very least, he knows how to defend well in his own zone and take time and space away.

The good thing here is that there’s still plenty of upside. Prokop plays a physical game, and he seems absolutely fearless. He’s also a solid skater for his size, especially on the back check. Once he figured out how to exploit college teams to create offence, we really saw his ability to skate and control the play. His decision-making with the puck and his ability to read plays at speed will need to improve. But plenty of time in the AHL will help with that.

Prokop likely won’t be an NHLer in any meaningful capacity, at least not for a while. But he’ll be 24 in May, meaning he’ll be much farther along in his development than most in Toronto’s system.

It was Josef Vašíček for me. No idea why, I literally had to google what NHL teams he played for, but his name always stuck out to me.

Canada Federal Election. It appears to be April 28th. The writ drops Sunday.

Hope the Leafs are ready tonight. I also hope they aren't basking in the glory of last night. Important points tonight, since Florida has Columbus and Tampa plays Dallas.

"a solid skater for his size", how big is the kid?

Edit: never mind, 6'3" 190lbs, not bad

Till they look at you like a freak...a monster

You pay the price every time you step into squat rack at 4 am. You pay the price every time you choke back another can of tuna. Every time you PUKE.

You're an ANIMAL

Those weightlifter magazine ads were pretty (frank)ed up. I used to love the animal pak ads that were like that.

Muscle and Fitness was always a good mag, with features from Arnold and Joe Weber. If you take any 12 month run of that mag and read it you pretty much can be a competitive bodybuilder.
