Fans are going to be shocked that very little is going to happen this offseason. It won’t be for lack of trying but the Flyers have nothing to sell. Just about every recent center trade has involved a center going back. Do you think Cates or Luchanko are being traded?

There are several very good centers available in the draft, Briere shoould be able to get one of them presuming of course the Flyers keep losing the rest of the way here. Why do you think Briere is not getting a center?

The overall construction of the Caps came from using all 3 avenues of acquiring talent- Draft, trades, and free agency. Chychryn, another great trade moving another good player in Jensen. In the Flyers case, Briere will have to be willing to move a player of value to get value back. Farabee and Frost had the value beaten out of them. To his credit, he did maximize the Laughton return. He needs to hit on some more trades.

Yup, suddenly NSH not that far away-incredible. Kind of funny when Hathaway returns, Torts keeps Deslauriers in the lineup, which is fine by me.

Flyers have only allowed 14 shots through 2 periods. That is solid work defensively and the coach has to be happy about that. Clearly they are a better team than their record says, just like Jonesy said.
