Yes, to an extent. If a diff maker on a one year deal, that might not be the wisest use of an asset.

A center will be nice.

Kakko has pretty much been the same player in Seattle that he was here.

Id take him over Laffy any day. He is better defensively and I think has more upside.

Meh...maybe on Mondays but definitely not on Tuesdays or Saturdays. Laf's stats on those days dwarf those of Kakko...not even close.

Only once has Laffy pasted 20 goals and 50 points and he did that playing with Panarin. KK never played with anyone on Panarins level.

Both have been universally disappointing, no matter the reason or who is to blame.

On Nov 23, Laf had eight goals and eight assists in 19 games. Since then, seven goals and 17 assists in 52 games.

I would have been willing to bet major $$$ he was gonna be a 30 goal 30 assist player this season

I’d love Roobroeck Carrick Rempe 4th line next year. I wouldn’t mind seeing Edstrom in the middle 6

Honestly, I could see Rempe, if he continues to improve, being a 3rd line guy. Hes always trying to make plays to the net and at the net.

I tend to agree with aecliptic here. A 3rd line role isn’t out of the question for him. I said a few games ago I’d put him on the top line, make the “stars” of the team keep up with his style of play.

crazy stat about Keenan is that he coached 5 teams after bailing on the Rangers and won a total of 1 playoff series, in '96 with Gretzky and the Blues

Jim Cerny says it is expected Rangers will sign Gabe Perreault to a contract once Boston College season ends

it's just not known yet whether it will be one of those ATO things where he will go to Hartford for rest of the year where it wont burn a year of Gabe's entry level deal, or if he will go to the Rangers and burn the first year

Cerny is still around?

And agreed with Fenrir - burning his 1st year with the way this season has been would be terrible asset management. Hartford please.
