It would also help if we could beat the 30th best team with a 2-0 lead during a playoff race rather than relying on others. Just sayin’. (*Cue the typical Aaron rant.)

One up side. They're now tied in regulation wins with the Leafs. Leafs have the 2nd tiebreaker if they're tied at the end of the season. Hopefully, Tampa continues to sh!t the satins.

M’eh.

I’ll take 3 wins when they played 4 games in 6 days, especially when 2 of the wins were back to back nights vs the Avs and Rags.

No team goes 82-0

Absolutely nobody who has been disappointed in the way the Leafs have been playing is upset because they're not "82-0" but rather because they're playing like garbage and displaying the same bad habits we all know lead to disappointment.

This is about watching a pattern of play that indicates without .930 SV%, they're absolutely (frank)ed when the games matter the most; the playoffs.

Here's the last 10 games...

Lost at home to San Jose, the worst (frank)ing team in the league, after leading 2-0 in the 3rd period. Horrible.

Lost to the Golden Knights, were down 5-0 by the 3rd period.

Lost to the Avalanche after having a lead and playing bunker hockey until they eventually folded and lost.

Beat Utah but only in a SO after blowing a 3-0 lead.

Lost to a shorthanded Panthers team at home. Scored first, allowed 3 unanswered goals.

Lost to Ottawa at home. Scored first, allowed 3 unanswered goals.

Beat Calgary, probably the one start to finish complete game they played in the last 10 games.

It was a small miracle they beat Colorado. They were badly outplayed on home ice, Woll stood on his head and they got a lucky bounce.

Beat the Rangers who absolutely suck this season so I don't see how that's any kind of accomplishment but they played well against a non-playoff team.

Lost to a horrible Predators team (3rd worst in the NHL) after getting a 2-0 lead and going to sleep in the 2nd and 3rd period.

Do you not see the pattern? Do you not see how a 7 game series against this team is not going to be nearly as hard as it should be? Do you not see that the Leafs have the 2nd worst GAA of all the playoff teams even though they were supposed to be a defensive brick wall under a defensive coach?

The only fortunate thing is the Panthers not playing well, but have major injuries. Tampa had a great run until recently. They're starting to revert to what they were before Christmas. Best case scenario is winning the division and let the two Florida teams destroy each other. It doesn't mean that it'll be easy against Ottawa, or Montreal. At least those two teams play with passion. Something the Leafs have not possessed this year. The schedule is starting to drain.

I'm generally concerned about this as well, to be objective. They haven't played too well - there's lots of little excuses to go around (new additions Carlo and Laughton adjusting, while the D seems to be settling, there's still flux in the forward lines on what Berube likes, goaltending isn't as consistently stellar as it was, dog days and bumps and bruises - not to mention the fatigue factor that played into the San Jose and Nashville games - although it didn't seem to come into play against the Rangers) - but it's of concern that as they approach the playoffs they aren't executing on a lot of important defensive details.

The PK is getting progressively worse. Since January 1 the Leafs have the 3rd best Power Play and the 7th worse Penalty Kill. Putting it in perspective, the piss poor Penalty Kill as nullified the improved Power Player. Since January 1 the Leafs have 26 PP goals but have allowed 23 PK goals for a margin of only +3 over 32 games.

If I'm looking at this a little more rationally and less emotionally - all teams go through slumps and drags - especially about now - the games against the Rangers (which should have been ugly) and the Flames were both well played and while Nashville did suck, I will give them the 4 games in 6 nights excuse. It's not an easy stat to unearth, but judging by past statistics I've seen, we know that back-to-back is a harder situation and 3 games in 4 nights is even harder - I'd imagine 4 in 6 is even worse overall.

We have 4 more games ahead starting tomorrow night that are all winnable, but Anaheim at the end could be a tough game due to the same fatigue factor.

Then they get to play Florida with 2 days rest and they will be on a back-to-back and playing their 3rd in 4 nights - so it's one they should be up for. Our second game against Florida on the 8th is probably more even footing since we'll both be rested (the Leafs with an extra day of rest, but the Leafs do play the next day against Tampa).

There's so many ups and downs in a season that I think it's about the process of improvement in the small areas. They have about 13 games left to iron out that crap PK - and hopefully find a way to play a more complete 60.

The guys are taking it slow, trying not to get injured before the April dance.

They have experience now...they've been down that road many times before, they know what it takes to come out strong in the first round.

So, the new tandem kayak is too chonky and bulbous shaped to fit securely into the bed of my truck when loaded with another tandem kayak.

Usually I can fit two kayaks, but this new one has a fat/wide profile that I didn't properly account for before purchasing.

Now I have to get really creative with the tie down straps, or trade this kayak for a different one that will fit. Problem is, I want to load two tandems. A tandem and a skinny single works. But so far, two wide tandems is a non-starter.

Had to abort this week's fossil hunting trip because of this.

Get a truck roof rack, or a bed utility rack or a combo of both or one roof cross bar and a hitch rack. You can find hitch rack supports that pivot up and down for ease of loading
