Because it clearly wasnt interference. Goalie went out of his way twice to push the player who really wasnt in his crease. The goalie then had time to set up but moved in the wrong direction.
As a former goalie, im so tired of how sensitive the league is with goalies.

I'm not in agreement on that.
That crease is the goalie's ice - no one has the right to that area except the goalie. You can argue that any white paint on the ice everyone has a right to and as soon as one person has taken their position, they have the right to the ice they possess, but you can't make that argument about the goalie's crease.
He also didn't have time to really set after the physical contact and reaction.
Sure - if he doesn't push Palmieri, he has time to set - but why should be forced to be the only female dog on the NHL ice surface who can't push back?
Bottom line - you want the goal to count, don't touch the goalie and then see if he actually lets that in.

Except he really WAS in the blue paint and that’s where the contact occurred.
To me the argument is all about if the goalie had time to and did reset and I can see people looking at it and saying he did but clearly the officials / review room felt the goalie didn’t.

He came in and then moved out.
Im all for the Islanders getting screwed, but it was clearly the wrong call.
Changes need to be made with the goalie interference rule.
