Yes, 2 SO and a .919 on top of that. He's only 25, for a goalie, it's not that old. He could still have a decent career like Lindgren.

Just probably not here.

hmm, I wouldn't count him out with the habs just yet, for this year he's staying with the Rocket for sure but he's gonna get another shot next year come training camp.

things weren't working out for him so he was sent back down so that he could get his poop together and he did just that, he deserves another chance imho. since his first amazing few games in the NHL Dobes hasn't looked all that great.

Yes, even if MTL would call him up this season, he is no longer waiver exempt

It's MTL or gone via waiver next season IMO. He will most likely be part of a trade this summer IMO

could be, but goalies are barely worth anything on the trade market nowadays.

Primeau would be a good backup for Helleybuck, maybe we can grab Perfetti

so Fowler would be the #1G in Laval next season
- fidopro

Unless they want Primeau as the #2 in MTL and they send Dobes back to Laval, only other option

Could be, I wish him all the best he looks like a great kid.
It's just that he's been up and down a couple of times, they traded Allen because they thought he was ready and he disappointed. With Dobes and Fowler rising there's going to be a logjam.

Primeau is worth at MOST....a 3rd if you are lucky, most likely a 4th or 5th round pick

Perfetti is a recent 1st round pick having a great start to his career this season.

well, as you mentioned Primeau is only 25, and goalies can be very unpredictable.

he hasn't been horrible but Dobes hasn't been "rising" all that much recently either, Primeau could easily get the job if he figures things out at the NHL level.

I think they package Primeau with others this summer. HuGo said they would be aggressive this summer.

Who knows, we are not in the locker room. We don't know what they think of Dobes and Primeau and how they view the situation with potential, contracts, depth....

you're right.
I just think it is much more probable that they trade him than play yoyo with Dobes

I don't think it's a homer take to say Hutson derserves the Calder trophy at this point

if Dobes still looked solid I'd agree, but he's kind of all over the place and I don't think he inspires much confidence to the guys in front of him. but obviously he still has a learning curve and could get better, we'll see.

AHL is mostly 2 games in 2 nights, sometime 3 in 3 so 1G or 2G doesn't matter that much they play every second game.

Dobes is also 2yrs younger than Primeau. Dobes will be 24 this summer and Primeau 26yrs old.

I don't think he's looked that bad. He was left out to dry by the defense on alot of those goals

Look, it's one of the best rookie classes and races we've had in a long (frank)ing time, but unless Wolf goes on a heater and drags the Flames into the playoffs, it's Hutson. You can't not give it to a rookie defenseman with 65 (I assume as a min) points and will be in the top-5 scoring by ALL defensemen in the NHL. Even if he's still crap in his own end. It's absurd what he's doing.
