Dobes is also 2yrs younger than Primeau. Dobes will be 24 this summer and Primeau 26yrs old.
- Symba007

yup, but at that age I wouldn't say Primeau is "done" either, he's been playing really well for the Rocket and still has something to prove imo.

Look, it's one of the best rookie classes and races we've had in a long (frank)ing time, but unless Wolf goes on a heater and drags the Flames into the playoffs, it's Hutson. You can't not give it to a rookie defenseman with 65 (I assume as a min) points and will be in the top-5 scoring by ALL defensemen in the NHL. Even if he's still crap in his own end. It's absurd what he's doing.

I don't think he's looked that bad. He was left out to dry by the defense on alot of those goals
- MortChicken

not saying he looked "bad", but to me he didn't look like he was in control of the situation on a lot of plays.

I agree though things got ugly defensively as well for sure lol

Primeau is hard on himself and when things don't go well, he sinks even lower confidence why.

Dobes is too aggressive when he does not play enough, often out of position and struggles getting back after making a save

Anyway I doubt any of them are legit #1 goalies in the NHL.

Fowler has the potential, I can only hope that he's ready when the Habs are legit contenders.

would you predict a potential back-to-back Calder trophy for MTL?

2025 - Hutson
2026 - Demidov

It's exciting for sure.

Now we just need linemates for him. I think Laine-Newhook-Demidov would give St-Louis sleepless nights

Good odds. I don't think Scheiffer/Misa will have as much impact as an extra year level Demidov (NA Ice adaption obviously a bit of a question). My money would be on Askarov though.

I don't think it will be a UFA, I am expecting a trade. I have no idea who it might be but I would put a toonie on a trade at the draft or just before.

he should also be part of the conversation for sure and he will play with a good team which usually helps insulating him but on the other hand might hurt his ice time.
