I wouldn’t trade Mika
And it’s “straight up genius” to you knucklehead!!
Is it at least fair to say that them doing right by one of their prospects is a good thing? I mean you go on and on and on and on…and on…and on…about how bad we treat our draft picks… - Slimtj100
If we were a playoff team (like WSH) sure go ahead. But we’re not, and even if we do make the playoffs we’re done in the 1st round. So what’s the point of possibly putting ourselves in a bad situation 3 years from now just to watch this kid play 8 games. It’s dumb. But you’re also a very impulsive and short sighted person so I can see why u don’t care/think it’s good. |

So how long do we have to read this non sense? Until his next contract?
Yay us
Suppose he said, ok you don’t wanna sign me now? I’ll enter the draft again. That would’ve went over real well with you
You’re are literally impossible to please |

See, that’s false. I said the Lindgren/Vesey deal was good. Trocheck signing was good etc. I’ve said a few others have been good also. But I’ve also called out the absolutely horrific ones and the bad ones. - nyrangers9479
This is exactly what I have been trying to say for weeks. He has made some good moves and some bad ones. It doesn’t mean he is a genius or he sucks. There is a middle ground. He is like most GMs in the league. They all have their good and bad moves. |

No one brings up Vatrano lol that’s the worst decision of all, not bringing him back
I think we see the vision he’s trying to get to. Others refuse to even consider the drastic change was 100% necessary. This year was gonna sting I think the org realized it pretty early |

Perreault - Miller - Lafreniere
Panarin - Trocheck - Othmann
Kreider - Zibanejad - Cuylle
Berard - Carrick - Aube-Kubel/Brodzinski
Next year GP should play big minutes in Hartford for a bit. He needs it |

I really would like to see Kreider on the 4th line by now. He isn’t bringing much of anything. Sucks to go out like this he’s been one of the best Rangers ever.

Assuming he’s joining Hartford, essentially competing with Garand to take over from Quick as Shesty’s backup the season after next.
UCONN should be really good again next year but clearly the best season he’s had in his career so taking the money and running. Hopefully not a fluke. |

There is a lot of talk about burning a year of his ELC. What I don’t think has been talked about is that this has no impact on his UFA. It will have one less year on his ELC but he will still be a RFA for that additional year. You need 10 games in a season for it to count towards UFA which he won’t get this year. |

I haven’t seen any “home runs” from him trade wise, (I said Vesey would gt us a 4th and Lindgren a 2nd) which is what their value was.
I’ve definitely seen some absolute BLUNDERS by him though. |

Good Point!! - Brukie
To clarify - my point above is only because he is less than 20 years old. To hit UFA, you need to be 27 years old or have 7 years of “professional experience”. And as a 19 year old that means 10+ games in the big leagues. Would love for Jan to confirm me on this because I’m not an expert. |

The only downside I could see to that trade is if the pick we traded turned out to be a perennial all star. Which is unlikely but possible.
Edit - I’d make the trade 1,000 times out of 100 |

It drives me crazy. You know who wins cups? Teams who trade first rd picks win cups. We probably got lucky Chytil is so injury prone, lucky to get him off our hands |

You literally just said it and are to stubborn to see why it was a bad move.
“Teams that trade firsts win cups”
****Teams that are PLAYOFF CONTENDERS that trade 1st round picks win cups.****
Really dumb move to trade possible lottery 1sts, REALLY DUMB |

Your whole perspective of Perreault signing is the dumbest of things you have ever said on this blog.
And that was hard to do.
You simply do not get it.
You are literally a retarded man.

The burning of the one year of the ELC is completely meaningless.
Unless Perreault comes in and absolutely dominates the league the first two years of his career.
That’s literally the only thing that could cause this burning of the first year to be a problem.
Perreault dominating the league. lol |

It’s because we traded Buchnevich, and why it’s a problem. Figure that one out

He will continue to say the same dumb things over and over and over. Been doing it for years.
Like complaining about trading JT Miler over and over and over. Non stop.
And then crying because we got him back. lol.
And then trading a first rounder.
But being extremely mad that we signed our own first rounder.
And saying same things over and over and over and over. |
