And why isn’t this blog actually talking about Gabriel Perreault?

Because nyrangers9479 thinks the ONLY THING that matters at all is that they burned the first year of the ELC and we can’t move onto anything else when it comes to this player.

This is how ridiculous you are. And the reason I post about 25% as much as I used to.
We were talking about nothing other than Perreault. It was literally ALL we were talking about. But, since some people had an opinion that wasn't the same as yours, now all we are doing is arguing about how mentally unstable people are.
...again.
People can have their own opinion, Jim. And, it doesn't have to line up with yours. And guess what? That's ok. Life goes on. Except here. Here we just can't get along well enough to move on to any new business. Just the same grudges being held for eternity. Stone stubborn stupid.

I have no issue people have different opinions. It’s just every time coming on here having to read pages about how Drury sucks and he is the worst GM in the league. It just isn’t true. He is like any GM in this league has made both good and some bad moves

You should not be posting 25% as much as you used to because of me because I barely post anymore. LMAO

Obviously this place sucks. Everyone hates each other but it does have the best format for posting.

It’s dumb to worry about the ELC in this particular case.

I’m sorry if people feel sensitive about that though. We need to respect dumb opinions.

It's not dumb. It's a different viewpoint.
When was the last time we saw a brand new prospect brought in to this team and immediately put in a position to succeed? With enough ice time per game and enough leash to make mistakes that it was more beneficial to him than being on the top line in Hartford??
I literally can't remember one. Not one. So, maybe that's why some people worry a little bit about that contract tying up capital a year earlier than it has to. We have multiple holes to fill and need to have multiple concerns to fill them.
It's not stupid and it's not retarded. It's simply another way of looking at the many moving parts of a pro sports team.
Why can't that be ok?

No it’s actually dumb

With the bonuses, Gabe’s cap hit will be 1.23 mil the next two seasons

His 2nd contract will be signed in 2027, it won’t have bonuses, the way the Rangers operate it will be a bridge contract around 2.1 mil or so. So like 800-900k more than the entry level deal.

UNLESS HE DOMINATES lol

Because as you can see by his last post, its a dumb opinion in his eyes. More than one person thinks the same but because he deems it dumb, he feels the need to attack and belittle someone. Instead of facing facts that the Rangers havent developed a forward since CK20, he just wants to be a Richard and put down someone. He is just a (frank)ing narcissist.

Way to look at it, If they cant develop him, he will just be another prospect bust. Tell me where we have seen this before. This is why this franchise hasnt won a Cup in 30 years and ONE in 85!!!

That’s what you said we can’t develop prospects lol. And if that’s the case then his cap hit won’t be an issue and the whole argument of burning his ELC early won’t be an issue lol. Don’t get why this is complicated

How about we try and develop the prospect first before we throw him to the wolves.

If Gabe didn’t sign he could go back into the draft. Isn’t that the worst case scenario? Lol
