Except that he is going directly to the NHL as far as I know. At least for the rest of the season.

I wonder when his ELC starts? If they're burning off a year of his ELC the remainder of their season. I'll laugh my ass off. You don't sign a player to an ELC solely for the purpose of AHL depth. You sign him to a ELC because you think he has NHL potential.
