oh I see... Beniers is still really young and I don't know if they'd be willing to part ways with him just yet but I guess Desnoyers could make him expendable if they're looking for help on D...

it would surely take more than Mailloux though lol

- Pat1993

Mailloux would only be part of a package. Habs would at least need to trade one of their first round pick along with Mailloux, to the very least. Maybe both, those are both outside the top 10

Seattle has Wright already, Chandler Stephenson, Jared McCann (who has to play on the wing) and has another kid coming up (Berkly Catton ) And Beniers

I read as a rumour that mtl might trade for Matty Beniers in the off season. Seattle has a lot of centres and may be looking to add some d prospects. Mtl has a few (Mailloux) and 2 first round picks.

Not sure what would it take, but maybe Beniers could be better with another team (see Cozens with Ottawa). If he plays with Demidov and Laine next season, that could be something. And he is still very young.

- deadpoulet

Their centremen are him, Stephenson and Wright. Why the (frank) would they trade him? Do people making those rumours look at position on NHL.com or something and not look into anything?

Answered my own question.

those things are the worst!

I had to wait something like 7 or 8 years to get a family doctor and he is already leaving to Toronto.

Im not saying the USA is the way to go. But the heath care system in Canada is broken (I assume its the same crap outside of Quebec for the rest of Canada).

Berkly Catton is coming up and they already have a centre playing on the wing. but you ignored all of this.

I did not even mention the fact they could draft a guy like Desnoyers on top of this.

Who is their centreman playing wing and why is he playing wing over this poopty guy like Beniers? Oh good, start a 5'10 20 year old at centre to replace your 22 year old centreman. BUT HEY! WE DRAFT A CENTRE FOR 4 YEARS LATER TOO!?

Why not keep them all?

He is already 30. Not sure Im a fan of his contract either (he is in the first year of a 7 years contract. At $6,250,000). The cap is coming up but I would expect him to slow down mid contract as well.

If not Beniers, I like Jared McCann contract much more. My understanding is that he is a natural centre but he has to play on the wing as of now, cause you know, too many centres over there.

McCann has taken 580 faceoffs in 236 games with the Kraken. What a natural woman.

Might as well go with some rookies and sophomores to play centre with this legendary "Natural Centre" over here.

You can get an appointment in a clinic with a doctor, its just not your doctor. And that can be tricky as well

The central council of Canadiens improvement has decided that Beniers will be traded here. It's up to the Kraken to figure out how they'll replace him after the trade
