I think Cozens being younger was a better risk to take, especially given the history of good players coming out of Buffalo to finally reach their potential. While Dubois was more of a "he keeps bouncing around teams, saying he's unhappy" joined with a terrible season and an even bigger contract.

Montreal didn't want that risk, I fully understand that.

I do believe they wanted Cozens, but we didn't have a Norris to give them... which is weirdly what they wanted.

yeah, Norris is a good player but with his injury history the red flags are pretty obvious... it's as though Buffalo are intentionally making sure they'll never have success, ever.

a root canal..? holy poop... never had those but I guess with the technology nowadays they probably aren't as painful as they used to be.

nothing much new going here, same old, I was just discouraged AF when I noticed the god damn snow outside this morning. pu capab.

The weirdest part of this trade to me is the timing.

I get not wanting only picks and prospects because you're stuck in an internal rebuild over there.

But what was the hurry to trade him to Ottawa NOW? Did you think Norris wouldn't be available at the draft? Wouldn't waiting for the draft probably meant more offers from teams that would now have cap space?

The only conclusion is that they really, really like Norris and said yes immediately. Which remains confusing to me because of what you mentioned.

oh okay. so it isn't normal for it to snow now even up there?

one year we had a quick, hour-long blizzard in april but it was just a freak thing.

it's very odd, and I guess it's just a continuation of the poor decision-making that has been going on in BUF literally for years now.

but hey, maybe Norris will finally stay healthy and be the very good player he was projected to be (and has been for the few games he wasn't injured lol). it's weird because it isn't like they didn't have any young talented guys at all, it's as though they're collectively underperforming all the time, year after year...

what we need are flamethrowers. we'll just melt the snow with those.

kids have to use a hair dryer until they're old enough to be trusted with the flamethrower.

Not much. Dealing with snow and cold winds. Thankfully, I'm off of the road today and in the office. I took next week off to get a ton of things done in my personal life so of course this week is dragging ......

Gonna have a few beer tonight and watch the game and bought a new hybrid indica that stomped on my brain last night
