Just thinking that the PK could struggle a bit without Kreider, what about Teddy Blueger?. Former Sullivan player, solid defensive forward. I think that’s where I’m most concerned is the forwards ability to play defensive and not so much the defensemen. Idk if you’d consider Blueger a 3C tho, and more of a 4C |

Daily faceoff has Trocheck with Mika, Carrick with Raddysh. That’s probably just speculation but it’s not all that bad without Kreider. Didn’t Carrick and Cuylle work well together on the PK, or was I seeing things? (which is possible) |

Hague is big but not very good - nyrangers2
I feel like if the Rangers traded for Hague and gave him 4 years 5.5 mil per like Nashville did there would be an awful lot of complaining about it |

Good article summarizing Mika’s decline.

Not a lot here to be hopefully about but could stomach him at 60-65 points, although grossly overpaid. - TC88
We have to hope it was directly because of Lavy. He definitely lost confidence and the mojo he had the last two seasons |

Hope so too. You would think he’d have 2 or 3 more productive seasons before a big drop off. Confidence and drive could definitely impact skating speeds. |

overtime game game 5 ECF vs Florida when he did that bad giveaway that led to the penalty killed his mojo and it stayed with him all season
but those incredibly terrible swings and misses he was doing on the powerplay on one timers were never so horrific

His issue is that he is notoriously a slow starter to a season. Each year it takes him more and more games to get going. I do not think he spends his off-season's working out to prepare himself. Either the DJing hobby takes up too much of his time or he is in denial that age affects everyone, and you need to work harder each year to get/stay in shape.
This is why Drury and Sully have been in constant touch with Mika this offseason. I'll let you draw your own conclusion as to what I mean here.

All I’ll say is if you look at his numbers after Miller got here and they were on a line together, he was a point per game. So there is hope there also. |

Malcolm-Jamal Warner. He was Theo Huxtable on the Cosby Show in the 80's. |

Mika also got married and had a child which is pretty life altering too.
Mika has always been a very streaky player. When Miller got here he went hot, warm and hot again. Much of next season will rely on him. Im not optimistic about Ott and Perr, with the Rangers recent history of developing prospects, I expect them to be dealt at the trade deadline. |

Kesselring and Hague both traded this off-season. 2 guys I wanted to add - nyrangers9479
Hague I didnt care about, he didnt move the needle for me. Hes an overpaid big body. Kesselring on the other hand, I was on board with, however the cost was quite high.
Im happy with the return for Miller. Morrow seems to have late 1st round pick value in the event that the Rangers end up moving him.
Id like to see some of these pieces packaged into a potentially larger trade to consolidate and balance out the line up. |

Perreault we will see. Othmann I totally see being dealt in a larger trade. Matter of fact, i wouldnt even have him play on the main roster. Id keep him in the AHL and let him tear it up down there to keep his value high. 50 games and maybe 10 points in the NHL doesnt look as good as 50 games (+/-) 20 goals 25 assists in the AHL. |
