Myers is a decent size & plays a pretty quiet game. I just wish he wore a different number because a D man wearing #51 in Toronto triggers my Leaf Fan PTSD 😳.

24 year ago today, I can remember watching the Leafs vs. Ottawa playoff games while waiting for my son to arrive into this world.

What would Bennett and Boeser cost? Probably more than $14m. What would they provide in points? 50 goals and 50 assists and more physical presence . . .Both are probably around $8m I'd imagine and really I don't even know the new economy for their contracts in the NHL. Maybe they are $9m.

I can't see Bennett at 8. Debrusk just took 5.75 x 7 on the open market, Bennett is above that but I wouldn't think that much more.
Also, yeah I probably take two Debrusks over Marner if that ends up being a question. Especially if those two Debrusks actually want to be here and aren't just out to gouge the team for pennies. |
