I’m conflicted about Mo.

He attacked Grieg last year and that showed heart. But his overall game has dropped since the succabus appeared.

So are our boys Marner, Matthews, Tavares, Rielly . . . frankly everyone but Benoit, Myers, Lorentz and Domi have been caved in and are showing the type of effort that's been causing us to lose in the playoffs for years. As soon as it gets hard, the Leafs get running. Berube is supposed to change this culture but I don't see it tonight.

I would say he made any saves tonight that that almost any NHL goalie wouldn’t really.

Most of the Leafs are off at both ends of the ice. JT is the only one from the core who has done anything really aside from Reilly assisting on the Panthers go ahead goal.

Real opinion here? It's about the playoffs. If the team craps the bed in the playoffs all bets have to be off. That could mean Willy is out or Marner is out or Matthews it out - but the culture needs to drastically change.

If they can show up in the playoffs then they'll have harder decisions to make but quite frankly tonight is another example of watching our new captain not be the guy. Matthews doesn't know how to step up; he only knows how to step down. He could be the singular problem. Again, we'll see.
