That's it. Get destroyed all period and capitalize on a lucky bounce in the last 30 seconds.

Lol truth but it’s nice to be on the other side of it once in a while.

The Domi-Tavares-Nylander has been a godawful nightmare this period. They haven't been winning battles nor generating much other than poor positioning and poor coverage.

Willy was ragging the puck like a champ but had zero options. The entire team looked dog tired most of that period. They generated very little and I didn’t see much puck battle from any of the forwards to be honest except maybe Matthews.

Willy is so strong on the puck, it’s hard for the opponent to get it off him once he has it.

Leafs seem content to just get the puck out of their zone for the most part. The shots on net tell the story.

Thank god the Wollrus came to play today!

He’s strong on the puck when he’s skating with it. When he has speed he can use gravity a little bit to lean on guys. Strong skating and skill makes him deadly in the o-zone. But he seems to get burnt out after having to exert energy to make plays. Usually the second half of his shift especially later in games he looks tired. He’s not great along the boards, but still wins the occasional battle. This isn’t Marner’s strength either, but at least he doesn’t burn out.

They do. This team has always struggled against the Canes consistent and constant pressure. They need to be both more patient with the puck at the right time and more prepared to move the puck quickly on shorter passes in transition. You can trap the aggressive forecheck if you beat it with quick short passes. Carolina's defense is too good to beat with long-bomb passes.

Nick Kyperos is so annoying, he loves to rag on the Leafs at every opportunity but he is smart I’ll give him that. He knows it gets him hits on his posts, podcasts etc and keeps him relevant.

True but I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone call Toronto’s offensive game patient in a long long time if ever!

Look what a half a billion gets you Blue Jays......Vlad the inferior, cost you a game last night with an error that cost 2 runs, plus a base running error that cost you at a minimum, 1 run.

Today another error that cost you 2 runs. Vlad was supposed to be the big time MVP Home Run threat. He's been total garbage since he signed that ridiculous contract. I wonder if the no-trade clause kicks in, when this current contract ends. Maybe there's an out where another sucker will take him off our hands. Maybe a few more porkchops will fix that for him.

At least we have the Leafs today.

I just took a quick peek at mine - I gotta say, I was pretty damn good.

The only terrible prediction of mine was this:

My wild, wacky hot-take: Washington will care more about Ovi than winning.

Nobody would have been surprised if the season finished with Washington and The Rangers reversed in the standings.
