I don’t follow the draft choices like a lot of guys here, but there are 2 defenceman before Lakovic, Jackson Smith and Logan Hensley, both big boys, maybe Reuby will chime in with his thoughts, he follows draft eligible pretty closely. - Makita

I agree the team does need centers starting next season, but for this draft if they keep the pick I wouldn’t mind either of those 2 listed.
Allvin can work on acquiring a couple of centers over the summer.. |

Canucks would be in if they were in the east 😆. It’s a feather in their cap to hit 90 points with all that went wrong this year, they should have been swimming with sharks 😆 |

You can never have enough Dmen, but if a center is available that's what I'd want for this team.
I like our Mix of D moving into next season with Hughes, Hronek, Pettersson, Petterson, Wilander, Myers and a bit of depth. Most of those guys are young enough to be around for the next 5-6 years.
At C we have Petey, Raty, Blueger , hopefully Suter or an upgrade. There are an awful lot of question marks with this group.
I think wingers are easier to find, but if one has elite talent when we draft I'll also support that. |

I didn't mind Jackson, until Load posted about a live viewing, which made me change my mind a bit, although I never complain about taking a big defenseman, with ability.
Pretty sure I posted a link for Lakovic awhile back.
Currently I am liking Jack Nesbitt, who is a 6'4 centre, which is the position that is most needed, now and in a few seasons from now.
Again, I won't be upset if they take Jackson, Lakovic or that kid out of QMJHL, Carboneau, that also has nice size and skill

They need to fix the top 6, the rest leave alone. |

Thar would have been pretty embarassing for the Canucks organization, being the only Canadian team, not in the playoffs, especially after such an amazing run, the previous season. |

Heard yesterday that Allvin is looking at Horvat and Barzal. Horvat back would be fine but Barzal is never healthy. |

Have the 2020 Sony 950 series 4K full array local dimming right now. Excellent TV all around. OLED is great but go to rtings.com and read the reviews some OLED's still have issues but they are better now. I'd stick with Samsung or Sony over LG as well. Just my experiences. |

It is actually. Benning had it figured and left current MNGT lots to work with. In the past three seasons we've gone from Horvat-Miller-Boeser to a 45 point version of Petey. Only thing this MNGT team has accomplished is they have improved the D quite a bit but that still needs work. Lots to do. |

You can't just take a teams points totals and transfer it to another conference without considering how bad the bottom end of conferences are. The bottom 4 teams in the West happen to be the worst in the league, based on points totals, so does that mean the West is the worst conference of the 2? |

Taking a defensemen at 15 is idiotic. We need centers.
Martin, OBrien, Bear, Cootes, Murtagh, Nesbitt.
Also, Calgary, Montreal and Philly all have 2 (1st) picks - which will be within the 16-26 range. Absolutely perfect trade down options.

I don't disagree with you on this. If you read my previous posts on draft, I was targeting mostly centre's, with a sprinkle of wingers. As I said in the comment you responded to, I said if, as a couple people suggested a defenseman.
I am never opposed to a defenseman being taken, just don't think this is the draft to take 1 at the spot they should be selecting at.
A trade down would be a good option |

Depending on how the first half shakes down, I could see them taking a winger if teams are reaching for defensemen and centers. They need centers, but more than that they need high end skill up front. Wingers are usually quicker to get onto the roster as well, which is better for their Hughes-led window. |
