There's a guy called Danault in LA, had a pair of goals yesterday, one of the best in the league at faceoffs too. - MortChicken
Danault wanted to be ahead of Suzuki as C#1.
And Bergevagin did not want to give him the money… |

Yep…. No 2 quality Centers for years and always a questionable Coach…
It will be interesting to see if MSL will be there many years… - TheInformer697041
He'll be there until they get a rep of being soft as slime pussies and then they'll bring in a hardass. That's usually how it goes for rookie-young NHL coaches. Just like the inverse where you have an absolute bumhole and replace them with the soft touch when your stars and telling him to (frank) off. |

he the one that dig the puck out on the equalizer
Suggesting Demidov to go on the 1st line is plain stupid, 1 he played a terrible game, 2 our first line has the most point in the whole NHL after the 4 nations tourney ( 5 on 5) you do not break that ! - Xizord

If the price to pay to get a good 2nd Center includes Xhekaj, would you do that?
Honestly, if I am the guy, I would ask to be traded this Summer…
I don’t see him playing for the Habs next season if MSL is still there… |

I would sacrifice Xhekaj for a 2nd line centre. Easily.
I like Xhekaj, I think if he becomes a reliable defenseman, his presence could be a huge difference for Montreal.
But the jury is still out on him being good enough at playing hockey. He couldn't outplay Struble this year... who's no superstar.

Suzuki, Caufield, Demidov, Slaf, Hutson, Guhle.
Am I missing anyone? I didn't include Reinbacher because he has yet to play but he's likely up there as well.

That's not hard.
Suzuki/Caufield/Hudson/Guhle/Demidov/Slaf (partially contract). The rest can poop or get off the pot. |

Of those guys, I think Slaf could be available for a good 2C like McTavish…
You need to give to receive…
But I still believe that signing a guy like Bennet would make us a much better team without touching the core…
Next July will be very interesting!

The problem with trading Slaf, is that you'll then spend the next 15 years looking for a guy like him.
He lacks consistancy but already his physical presence is the reason for so many goals, yesterday included.
