Like the Arvidsson add. Jeannot, not so much. Who the hell else was offering this guy 5 years

Our team doesn’t have a first line. Donny has done nothing but sign grinders, re-treads, and hometown boys. I don’t like any of the adds. Add to that, I hate the geekie signing too. 6 years for a guy coming off a career year where he pretty much reached his highest potential? Yikes.

There’s not going to be enough bourbon for this upcoming sh!tshow of a season

So what do we have to show for~$24M??? No real impact players...I don't mind the Geekie deal and the Atdvisson add is okay but no true impact players. Better hope Lysell takes a huge step...

Geeezzz, Sweeney continues to just amaze in his ineptitude. Somebody should take away his phone during opening day of free agency. Generally pretty good at trade deadline...decent on trades but goodness his FA moves are many times complete head scratchers...

To be fair, it was slim pickings to begin with. There was really nothing he could do that would have been a splash once Marner and Boeser were gone. I didn't want him to overpay Boeser so we lucked out there.

I would have left the openings for the young guys and just saved some of the cap space. I like bringing back Kuraly. I guess we will see how it shakes out.

I definitely don't get the Jeannot signing. Could have skipped that one.

Geekie came into his own and was really good towards the end of the season. Plus he showed that he can gel with Pasta. After the first two months, he was a point per game player. 5.5 is a great price if he keeps improving.

Lindholm also came alive when they had that line together. Not sure why they waited all year to put him on the top line.

They have created a log jam at the bottom of the lineup though.

Pasta - Lindholm- Geekie
Arvidsson - Mittlstadt - Zacha
Poitras - Beecher/Minten - Khuznadinov
Kastelic - Kuraly - Jeannot/Eysimmont

Bottom line, this lineup isn't going scare anyone.

I’d honestly be less upset if they’d just say we’re going to suck and stop framing this as some kind of re-tool with solid pieces. We have one star goal scorer surrounded by a bunch of plugs. Other than Pasta, is there a single guy on the Bruins who would be considered a top guy on any other team in the league?

Our defense has regressed for two years in a row, and our goaltender seems to be more concerned with how he projects himself than stopping pucks. His less than lackluster performance last year is also a major cause for concern seeing as we inked him to whatever crazy term sweens threw at him.

We just picked our first 1st round pick in how long? Our pipeline is non existent, and any name we want to throw out there as a future bruins prospect isn’t going to be contributing in any meaningful way for years. We shouldn’t expect Hagens to come in and be a star either.

That’s a lot of doom and gloom, I know, but can anyone argue with this?

Holy (frank) I can post again.

"we did a job" sums it up beautifully. After giving the fanbase hope that they were going to change philosophies to more skill based talent at the draft (which overall was pretty good), Sweeney goes and poops the bed at free agency.

Kuraly is the only signing I remotely like just for nostalgic purposes. Should have just sat out. Just dumb.

The Jeannot signing......Double WOOF

I don't have too much of an issue with the Arvidsson trade either. Yep, they have no more money and a butt load of bottom 6 "talent".
