Love to get Desnoyers.
Not interested in getting any more Swedes or Americans. - Reubenkincade
Frondell by all accounts fights for pucks and has a great shot. Outmuscles bigger players for pucks, that's not typical Swedish trait. I'd happily draft him.

What about our 15th for Philly’s 24th & 25th or do we need to add? - Nighthawk
Not sure you would get those 2 1sts, but Flyers also have 4 2nds, I believe |

A few weeks back, I did mention here that there were some players around the 10-15 range, that I like, and had said 1 was a Swede, that was Feondell. I wouldn't be trading up much to get him though. |

That's the thing I don't think it will necessarily cost that much to trade up in this draft, to a certain point. The top 2 will cost a fortune in draft capital IMO but after that it lessens substantially and even moreso towards the tail of the top 10.
A 2nd round pick should do it, maybe a 1st + to trade into the top 5. Trading up to say 7 or 8 shouldn't cost much more than a 2nd in this draft. |

I agree, which is why I commented to NH that I doubt Flyers would give up 2 1sts for Canucks 15th.
I am not sure the Canucks will even have a 1st as they will panic buy, again
Going to laugh my ass off when Pengguins end up picking 1st next season, with the Rangers pick |

That would almost be as funny as the Canucks picking ahead of the Bruins this season. |

Either way, 4 bad teams that badly need some high end young prospects. |

This kid has been getting his ass wiped from Benning, Allvin, Aquilini since he got drafted, now Hughes is supposed to wipe his ass, fuck that, trade him, waive him, buy him out, enough is enough with this POS - Reubenkincade
Oh there’s nothing finer than to see you whining about Pettersson in the morning.
Sung to the tune nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the morning |

Is it true his vision & hockey IQ stand out ignoring his size of course? I’m liking those particular traits in a C if to make it as a 2C one day. - Nighthawk
Sorry I took so long to write back. I was at the game again tonight. A 9-6 junior Hockey special. Royals lost. Yes, he sees the ice really well and plays smart hockey. Plays both special teams.
He's obviously worked on his skating and I think that has helped him process the game faster. He might still grow another inch or 2 as well. He looks a bit taller this year. |

I think there are a few players in the draft with top 2C potential that can play both ends of the rink almost immediately in a reduced capacity. Some of them have 1C potential. - golfingsince
I agree about 2C but some luck is needed on who falls or pans out. |

Merely for trade down options. I’m thinking on mostly drafting a C & there might be a few to choose from later. |

Ok thx for that he now is my leading pick for a C in our range & maybe a trade down candidate. If he has a huge motor even better. Size wise at C is an issue it comes down to if he can handle it well enough strong on his skates & preferably a high end playmaker. I like my top C’s to dish it 1st & make wingers produce. |

From IMac about yesterday's end of season presser:
https://www.sportsnet.ca/...ude-dysfunctional-season/
To add to it, apparently Petey changed his summer training agency/group last year or the year before, and they don't have the best reputation. Hopefully he switches back/spends time with Hughes this off-season. |

Thanks for sharing, a good read. And thank you for your time & effort creating content and a space this year for people to discuss hockey.
As for Elias Pettersson, I honestly hope someone approaches Allvin with an offer for him he can't refuse. I think both the team and the player would do well with a fresh start. |

Anaheim fired Greg Cronin, their coach, I wonder how many vacancies we're going to see. Flyers and Anaheim so far. |

I don't know if he'd want to step into a full-on rebuild, but you never know. Hopefully they turn things around in the next couple years there. Two good drafts and they could be on their way. |

Thanks for posting that. It pissed me off even more hearing Pouty's lack of accountability. A whole new level blaming his parents, what a spoiled little brat. I hope it doesn't cost the Canucks too much to trade him. |

Either way he could be stepping into a full rebuild here if Petey is traded then Hughes leaves lol. Can't see why he'd want to remain in Van but we'll see. I think Tocchet will need some assurance from this MNGT group that good changes and roster additions are coming for next season...or it's bye bye time. |

Friedman said on 32T that the Canucks have offered Tocchet 3 million a year, the highest paid coaches are around 5 million a year. So that could be the sticking point, who knows. |

I'm very doubtful someone is going to approach Allvin with an offer that would be worth it. They need high-end centers... and though Petey hasn't played it the past year and a bit, he's the kind of high-end center they need. So shipping him out creates another giant hole that I'm doubtful would be filled with a trade for him.
I feel that he'll right the ship this off-season. Tocc and Allvin have rammed it into him enough he'll do what's needed in the summer. Next year will be 80-90 points, and the season after is when he'll show up as that consistent force again. |

I have been consistently saying the same thought, get back to a ppg and getting over a 100 would be a bonus. I also don’t think Pettersson will be traded but only because of what you stated, it wouldn’t be worth it to the club in Pettersson’s current status.
I guess you should probably be labeled as a Pettersson guzzler for having realistic opinions and not being full on trade at any cost mentality.
Welcome to the club. |
