Time for the annual "Mike Sullivan to the Rangers" discourse.

I think the perfect line would have been if Kunitz and Guentzel would have overlapped in their prime. One elite skill wing, and one who excelled at the all around game especially the physical part.

Rangers have a 6.3% chance of a top 3 pick, otherwise their pick will be 11-13. I think if its 11-13, they give up the pick. Way too many unknowns for them. It wouldnt look good from a PR perspective, but the risk of messing up again next season and giving up a better pick in a deeper draft would be worse.

Only reason I could see them hold it would be because Drury knows he is out of a job if this happens again next season. So he keeps this year's pick to trade it/help build next year's team and either looks brilliant if the Rangers make the playoffs or he's out of a job and it isnt his problem.

Fingers crossed. Rags still have their 2nd round pick this year.

Kunitz was exactly what they needed during his time with the team. He's on my all-time Pens team.

Just like Hornqvist for the 16 and 17 cups.

Guentzel is a really good scoring role player.

I could be wrong, but I thought they played together for a bit when Guentzel first started playing with Crosby until it was time to move Kunitz down.

Tough afternoon for New Jersey. Just a parade of injured Devils to the lockeroom.
