Yes agreed. I just can’t get into it, or the hang of it. Or the patience to get the hang of it |

When you look at the roster, assuming Zib refuses to waive, there’s not much we can do to change the “identity” of this team.
Cuylle Miller Zib Trocheck Laf Panarin in the top 9
Rempe Carrick Berard Edstrom 4th line.
If Panarin is back, where do you improve in the top 9? Move Laf? The value well get back won’t be worth it to move him. - nyrangers9479
The thing is, before we start exploring options in our forward group, the #1 priority above all else needs to be fixing the defense. I know where your stance is on the defense, we dont need to reiterate it, however it needs to be addressed first. |

I think the whole left side of the defense top to bottom needs to be redone. |

Unfortunately I feel Soucy will start the year as a part of the left side |

Not too thrilled with the contract Borgen was given either. |

I am actually fine with Borgen. He came into a cluster frank of a mess and still was decent. I think with a new coach and a better system he will be fine as the 4/5 d man |

Borgen will be fine. He just got a lot better without Housley. Everyone did
He really settled things down at first. Then the poop hit the fan all together. He gets his nose dirty and we need that. He’s like the new Lindgren imo but he’s got less wear and tear |

Im not bothered that he got signed, I just dont know if hes worth 4m... but I guess with the cap going up it scales that way. But on the other hand, I view him as a 3RD which is why I think its a bit much. If they plan to utilize him as a 2RD, then they needs to trade Schneider. His value is far too high to bury him on the 3rd pairing. |

He just traded for Miller 🤦♂️
Copp was good for us that year, and it was conditional. At least he wasn’t re-signed and your hindsight on these moves is a lil unfair. Jmo - Slimtj100
I wouldn’t say hindsight. I think I’m pretty direct on my opinion of trades when they happen. |

Schneider Berard for Byram? Schneider for Byram in some fashion helps both teams a lot |

Ive suggested something along those lines numerous times. If we do business with Buffalo Id like to get Tuch in the deal also. |

Yea that’s the thing. The league seems to value Borgen pretty highly. I feel like he would have gotten close to 5 million per as a UFA this summer.
I am actually fine with shopping Schneider. Just dont think he has grown enough or lived up to the hype as a 1st round pick so far. If you can get good value would be interested to see the return |

I heard that Buffalo may be big on Kreider. Would love to expand the deal and try to pry Bryam |

Well, I think Schneider's portfolio is stronger than Nils Lundkvist's, so I think he should have decent value, especially given his age. |

I’m not. I want this team to have an identity. In your opinion, what is this teams identity? Speed? Physical? “Team toughness”? What is it? In my opinion, it’s a cluster of soft, uninspired, emotionless “stars” that aren’t a TEAM. The unwillingness for the “star” players to stand up for each other is a MASSIVE problem.
All of our stars are a carbon copy of each other. When I watch Zib skate away during a scrum when a teammate is getting 2 on 1’d it INFURIATES me. Staple his ass to the bench. F him. Same goes for Fox, Panarin etc. |

I’d be fine with trading both. And if not, putting Panarin on a line with 2 players that would force him to get involved/show some emotion.

If Zib is so opposed to leaving NY, I wonder if he would accept a trade to the Isles. |
