You Flames fans are so mentally defunct of common sense you deflect every little issue your own team has on to the Oilers. It's actually quite remarkable dude the obsession is very real. But hey I get it dude...your club has one of THE worst PO and drafting records in the league since 2005 so not much to be proud of. But at least you had this 'great' season missing the PO's to reflect on yet again. Here's to next year again champ...

I never deflected anything. You did.

As far as the Flames go, yes they suck. They suck ar making playoffs and they suck at sucking. This year they were supposed to suck, and they sucked at that.

Don´t throw stones when you live in a glass house. Your Oilers are no better.

Thanks Trevor. I watched the exit interviews as well.
Doesn’t sound like Andersson will sign a 8 year extension with Calgary.
Zayne Parekh will be a Flames next year.
No extension for Hanley.
Vladar will sign if he wants to be the backup.
Morton will replace Rooney.
Pachal already signed an extension.
Bean has another year left.
Miromanov will be shown the door.
Soloynov will be on a 1 way so expect him to start with the Flames.
Flames are fortunate to have Huska as their coach, Conroy has already done something that Treliving failed to do.
If Conny is trying to sign a new partner for Weegar, I’d rather he make a move for a younger guy like Byram. Maybe Andersson and Vegas’s 1st next year gets it done.

What do you think about going after a LHS D like Provorov in free agency? Also can we package something up with Andersen + to Detroit to try & get Larkin. If we could get Larkin that would move Kadri to line 2 & Frost to line 3 & Backlund to line 4 where he belongs. Just a thought.

What about somehow moving up in the draft? Does Buffalo need lmore high pics or leadership? Does Kadri have a no trade?

I’m torn adding older guys to the roster. I don’t think that’s the plan. Would rather target a younger center such as Sillinger or Johnston out of Columbus. Grieg out of Ottawa. Go after a younger d to play with Weegar and promote from within. I think we’d do well and be on a better path.

I don’t think the Flames are trading Kadri, he’s too important to the overall picture. Maybe in a couple year but you never know.

Some thinking after the Bruins press conference & talk they will be back in playoffs next year, some are thinking perhaps Andersen, & both our 1st round picks this year to the Bruins for the #5. Bruins need more in their pipeline & Andersen would be a huge add to playing behind McAvoy. That would certainly be an interesting trade & we get our young center. Then I would perhaps look at making a run at Provorov come July to play with Weegar & Bahl to play with Parekh.
Saw another trade proposal that seemed interesting of Chabot straight up for Andy.
Gonna be interesting leading up to the draft.

Another young C I would target is McTavish in Anaheim.
The Ducks need a top 4 D and also have a dearth of young D in their system.
With Ras, our two 1sts and one of our young D prospects not named Parekh, we have plenty to entice Anaheim.

Hey nice to see you back. I mentioned him a while back also would look at Ryan McLoed out of Buffalo. 25 20 goals probably come cheap

If Boston is open to moving #5 Conny should be all over that as Hagens, Frondell and Desnoyers all look like solid picks and 1 or 2 of them will be available.

Cheers
McLeod would bring size 6' 3'', speed, F/O winning % and 20 goals & 33 assists.

Would be an excellent add but I find trying to do a deal with Buffalo is we dont exactly have what they want & who they want Conroy isnt trading that player.

Good point Buffalo's biggest need is the same as the Flames.... a young impact center so making a deal with them would be difficult. I'm luke warm to acquiring LD Byram or Samuelson.
I really think Anaheim and us match up well and if the Flames scouts believe in McQueen.... maybe pursuing pick 8 from them rather than McTavish is an option too?
For the record im luke warm to trading Ras but if he doesnt sign an extension before the draft it has to be on the table.

His value will never be higher, and I wonder if he does not want to go chase a Cup. He would be a good leadership piece on a team like Detroit that needs to make a jump to the next level.

He played lights out this year, and I am not sure you could replace his minutes. But the decline will come quick. Sell those tires while they still have some tread on them.

I see what your thinking but as of right now he has a better chance with the Flames.
