You figure they’re at least humbled right now (as players). Especially the Shestys, lafs, Trochecks, foxes, etc where they should be hungry again. They didn’t seem, by any stretch of the imagine, to be very hungry this year - Slimtj100
Quite the contrary! They skated like they were constantly full this season!!!
They really got behind the Taco Bell Take!! |

Hey I am happy about the news. No more speculation. Curious how he attacks the summer now. The negativity and doom and gloom doesn’t affect me |

I'm in the minority on this, but I don't have a huge problem with what he did going back to last summer.
I have no issue with trying to generate cap space with the Goodrow move. It wasn't handled smoothly but he had every right to trade Trouba on July 1st. I believe Trouba poisoned the room. He rid themselves of Kakko and Chytil.
The fact the this collection of crybabies played like crap was the players and Lavi. Now, he's gone.
I'm willing to see what he does starting starting now. |

I am right there with you. They need to gut the core and he is doing it. Now did I love the Reilly smith trade no but no GM is perfect. It’s nice there is no speculation and Drury can continue his plan of overhauling the roster |

Also curious if players really did hate Drury, I wonder if this gets more of them to waive their no movement clauses |

The only thing this does is guarantee Drury is sticking around for the next year
It doesn’t mean Drury can’t eventually get fired. Dolan just has to pay him if he does.
